"Putting aside the political correctness of the policy, all the native-looking staff at this hotel seemed unqualified in both skill and attitude. I arrived at 12 PM, and they said the room would be available at 3 PM, but suggested I try again at 2 PM. When the room finally became available around 2 PM, they gave it to a new white staff member first??? After checking in, I asked about breakfast hours, and the front desk replied ”six to ten.” I couldn't believe it; it's still dark here at 6 PM! I confirmed several times that it was 6 AM, and received confirmation each time. I booked a tour departing at 7 AM, thinking this was perfect. When I rushed to the restaurant in the morning, I was impatiently turned away by the staff. When I went back to the front desk, the night shift had been replaced by someone who completely couldn't speak English???
The lobby is tucked away inside, sharing the entrance with West Car Rental. They have a left/right sign, but the left side leads to the guest rooms, while the lobby is actually on the right. In the sweltering heat, this is very inconvenient for tourists with suitcases. Couldn't they have put up an arrow to indicate this?
Other rooms are fine, over-priced is normal here."
