"I travelled here for my work meeting and i was so pleasantly surprised. The staff were so friendly, anf helpful. I ate at the buffet for two mornings, and i love that you can leave your baggage there when you chrck out if you need to run errands. Would dwfinately book again. Everything was clean and immaculate."

"The hotel was completely and meticulously renovated. 😀 I am blown away by the sleek and simple yet modern and elegant hotel lobby . The high ceiling and the bricks give a voluminous feel. The hotel reception very friendly and proactive. The room floor consistent in terms of design and use of colour. Very eye soothing. The location unbeatable and surrounded by heaps of eateries and shops. Distance to central station only 5 min by foot. Super nice hotel and will come back"

"The hotel is a bit old but the location conquered. It is in Central and we took train, light rail and metro there. It is very convenient as it is just around 3-5 minutes walk. Bus stops are also nearby. Cleanliness was above average. However the bed was too soft for us."

"Excellent location with just a few minutes walk from light rails and Chinatown. However, this hotel's service would need a bit more improvement. The cleanliness was okay but the room was quite dusty when we got in. We didn't receive the housekeeping during the 2nd day because they said we had the DND sign on during 0900-1500. However, that was quite a news for us as we got out at around 1200 for lunch and had the housekeeping sign on then came back at around 1400 to get some stuff and we found that no housekeeper came to the room. The sign itself was a poor design as well as it would get flipped over to the other side if someone passes by fast along the corridor. Anyways, by the time we got back to the hotel in the evening, they said they can't do anything because the housekeepers are off already. One more thing to be aware of is that there's a restaurant/bar downstairs. It gets quite noisy at night (around 11pm-2am) and you could actually feel the vibrations from downstairs. If you complain about it, then they would sent down the security to ask them to keep their volume down. Alas, there was a fire that broke out in the restaurant connected to the hotel so we had to leave the hotel at 3am for safety measures."

"We stayed there a total of 3 nights and we had to move rooms 3 times from level 11 to level 4 then back up to level 9 the first 2 rooms overnight flooded because it was raining heavy at times but mostly just showers but the carpet was soaked throughout both rooms, When I told reception they sent me to the room with towels to soak it up and assumed it would be ok I guess, But then the hotel manager knocked on our door asked to look at the water damage I didn't know why at that time but he had made the same discovery In a number of rooms in the hotel. So he organised to have his maintinence man come and suck the water out with a wet vacuum we went out so they could do that we were gone for a couple hours and when we got back they had just finished and had industrial blowers drying it out more.I wasn't going to stay in that room and asked the manager to move us but he was reluctant but he did.No offer to help us move our stuff for the inconvenience but history repeated itself in the next room. So the final night we were downgraded alot the room was half the size of the one we originally booked the condition of the room was like it was quickly cleaned and made available for us in the last hour it was disgusting and very poor effort from the Manager and the staff. The TVs in 2 of the 3 rooms wouldn't connect to the hotels promised super speed wifi on the website which wasn't very fast at all. The phones fitted in the rooms don't work they're not even connected. The safes in the rooms! one I had to put 6 X AA batteries in for it to turn on! only to say error over and over again and the other 2 don't work. The Photos below are the standard of cleaning in this hotel and unfinished workmanship. Very Dissatisfied Hotel Stay."

"I had a very pleasant stay at YHA Sydney Central. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Angel (the Angel!) at the front desk with a BIG radiant smile. Her helpful orientation about the hostel and surrounding area especially the super convenient Central Station just across the road made settling in easy and stress-free. I also appreciated the clear signage in the hostel which made navigation simple and intuitive. I was thrilled to find the dual-monitor setups thoughtfully provided at every desk in the co-working space - something I have always desperately needed but never found in all of my travels across more than 20 countries. It was a huge bonus for me. I’d love to see it open beyond 11 pm. Given the area is well-secured with access card and CCTV, keeping it open 24/7 would be more user-friendly for those who struggle to focus during busy hours or for night owls working across different time zones. Another seemingly small but thoughtful touch that made a big difference was the steam iron and ironing board provided in the laundry room. They were exactly what I needed very much since my clothes often come out wrinkled after long hours packed in suitcases. I was also impressed by the detailed guidelines and the conveniently placed bins that encouraged timely, efficient and proper waste separation. In a world where environmental awareness is still lacking in many places, this served as a valuable education opportunity that travelers can learn from and take back to their own countries. It personally boosted my own environmental consciousness. I truly believe this is an excellent demonstration for travelers coming from different parts of the world. My room was comfortable with a high ceiling, a tall window and a spacious locker to an extent that even a 81 cm suitcase can fit in with no difficulty. The table and chairs inside fostered a friendly and communal atmosphere which is perfect for us to unwind and share interesting stores with fellow travelers. However, both my roommates and I found the room too cold at night and it seemed that there was no temperate control options such as heating or air-conditioning. Also, the traffic noise from outside was quite loud, even on the fifth floor, and it lasted all day until midnight. One area that really needs urgent attention is the Wi-Fi. During my brief two-day stay, the internet connection dropped frequently regardless where I was in the hostel, whether I was in my room, or on the kitchen floor, even at the front desk. A stable and reliable internet connection is essential for today’s travelers. To be honest, this was one of the most unstable, the slowest and weakest internet connections I have experienced in Australia. Thankfully, the internet connection was much better in the co-working space. Thank you again for the warm hospitality and for creating such a welcoming space for us. I hope this review is helpful. I genuinely appreciate the effort put into maintaining such a great environment."

"Central Mandela Hotel is in the city center, very conveniently located! It is less than 10 minutes walk from the train station. Take the intercity train L8 line from the airport to the central Station train station, and then walk to the hotel. The day trip meeting place is also at this train station. There is a light rail line 1/2/3 at the hotel entrance, which can go to Darling Harbour. The ticket is 2.75 and it takes 5 minutes. There is a small platform in the room for ventilation, and the room is spacious and bright. Before leaving, please ask the front desk to ask for a taxi to the airport for 46 Australian dollars. The service is very good. The air conditioning in the room is easy to use, and there is a microwave and a stove to cook some simple meals. There are bowls and plates. There is a large supermarket in the market city opposite, which has everything! There is an Italian restaurant 100 meters walk from Mandela, which serves super delicious pizza and pasta. There is a seafood restaurant diagonally opposite, which is very expensive. A 1.1 kg Australian lobster costs 320 Australian dollars, and there is an additional fee for noodles."

"The room is very spacious and the kitchen accessories are complete. Although it is cleaned every three days, you can still ask for anything you need from the front desk. It is very suitable for family living."

"The front counter staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was good. However, I was a bit disappointed with the housekeeping. The toilet didn’t seem to be cleaned properly, as there was a persistent urine smell. I also wasn’t sure if the bedsheets were changed, since I started feeling itchy after 2–3 nights."
