"It was a last minute booking for me as my flight arrival was delayed and I missed the last bus from Washington DC to my home miles away. I was pleasantly surprised I could get into such a great hotel at a decent price. The room is excellent and spacious with a king size bed, a couch, fridge and all the usual stuff. The highlight was desk with multiple power outlets in the middle of the desk so one can change the laptop, multiple phones etc without having to worry about tripping over cables on the floor. The bed is comfortable and the room is very quiet.
The reception staff was extremely helpful. I requested for a late check out time and they checked room situation and gave me 2 hours which was great. Great experience and I will definitely stay again."

"Located in Crystal City, adjacent to Reagan National Airport, it is six or seven minutes away from the Blue Line and Yellow Line subway stations. Take the Yellow Line subway for three or four stops to the main scenic spots in the city, and two stops away from the Pentagon subway station. It takes a little longer to take the Blue Line to the White House, which takes more than 20 minutes. Overall, it is quite convenient. The hotel is surrounded by a new city, which is not very lively, but it is very safe. There are many fast food restaurants, cafes and hotels on the same street. The Hilton Garden Inn in the United States is similar, with two Queen beds (1.5 meters), American breakfast, laundry room and gym. Notes: 1. The soundproofing of the room is OK, but the even-numbered rooms face the street, and there are occasional noises of racing cars and police cars at night; 2. The room was booked with breakfast, but the front desk did not give me a coupon when I checked in. The next day, the restaurant waiter opened a bill of more than 60 dollars. I personally think that breakfast of 20 dollars is a bit expensive; 3. I went to the front desk to ask for a meal coupon and gave it to the waiter, but the waiter still asked for a tip because she served me (poured a cup of coffee! They put away the coffee pot, you can't find it, and serve you when guests come, full of routines! The next day I didn't give a penny, and had breakfast by myself); 4. I stayed for four nights, and the room was not cleaned up on the second day. Although I heard that it was cleaned up every three days, I asked the front desk and it was cleaned up, which was not bad. 5. There are blind spots in the sanitation. When I checked in, I found urine stains on the back of the toilet seat, which instantly discounted my impression score."

"The location is great! Just a 5-min walk from Ballston MU Subway Station. The hotel needs renovation. The lifts were alike those in the days of 1970s, and needed to be replaced. I checked in the hotel at around 4-5pm, the process was slow, as only one staff was on-duty. My room was spacious, though the furnitures were old-fashioned. The bedding sheets were quite new. My room was on the 6th floor facing the main road, but not much traffic noise heard at night time."

"Just spent the night. Checked in around 6pm and checked out at 11am. Check out is a bit early. I’d hope for at least noon. The shuttle schedule is awful. Peak times there is no shuttle service. I guess the plus side is it’s only a 10 or so minute walk to the metro.
Breakfast is just meh. It comes with the room but def nothing to get up and rush down for.
The check in (front desk) staff was nice. I think you may get better rate booking directly with hotel.
I’d stay again if in the area."

"Pros: Location! It’s so close to the Crystal City Station (3 mins walk) so you can get to the downtown or even other placed by Metro easily. Other than that, I find the airport shuttle extremely helpful as it begins as early as 4 am and I had super early flight outside of Metro’s operating hour. The shuttle runs every 30mins and very punctual.
Cons: While the room is big enough, but the design and the hotel are old… The biggest downside to me is there is no complimentary bottled water in the room at all despite staying in such hotel brand…"

AAnnaLarge room, no slippers, threw out all the white socks (not the first time in the US), cleaning is lousy, once after cleaning they took out things that did not belong to me, shower is not removable, all sorts of things, breakfasts are meager and monotonous. The price is too high.

GGuest UserMy flight was cancelled so I needed to find a place to stay. The location was very convenient for DCA airport, either by metro (2 stops) or car and connected to the mall. Following Ritz Carlton’s standard, all staff was incredibly respectful, caring and attentive without being stifling. Ordered in-room dining for dinner and it was okay, but nothing special. Presentation and service of it was impeccable. When checking in, I was unexpectedly upgraded to club floor, which was very kind of them, especially after a long day of canceled and rebooked flights. Please be sure to treat the staff kindly, as it is the right thing to do. If I am in the area again, I will happily return.

TtIt's very cheap to take a taxi to the city attractions. If you want to experience the subway, it's not too far to walk. I feel that the road is still very safe. The reception is perfect. Clean, the view from the window is beautiful. The air conditioning is very good!

GGuest UserOur family traveled to Washington by car in February, and this hotel is highly recommended. Self-parking is 44 dollars per night, and guest parking is 49 dollars per night, which is a bit expensive. If you park by yourself in the underground parking lot, you need to spend time looking for a parking space. The hotel has its own shuttle bus to the subway station, which is quite convenient. You can reach tourist check-in points in the city within a few subway stops. Cleanliness and service are average at Renaissance.

GGuest UserIt was good to enjoy good service at a good hotel.. The staff was friendly at the time of check-in and the condition of the room was excellent. The room was so good that I wanted to stay again and I would like to recommend it to other salma. All the facilities, including the amenities in the room, were perfect. It's a two-star hotel, but I don't know why it's two. I think it's okay to make it a little more generous and give it about four stars. It has the advantage of location. You should enjoy it, too.

GGuest UserThe rooms here are comfortable and I like the modern decor and features in the room & bath...the shower is wonderful. Since my stay was during the pandemic, the services had been reduced but there was a morning coffee service that helped get the day going. I also appreciated the on-site laundry room. The machines in the gym were equipped with individual t.v. monitors. The hotel also has a shuttle to national airport. The best part of the hotel is the excellent/friendly service you receive from the staff.
The only recommendation I would make would be to inform guests about dining options since the hotel could not provide anything b/c of covid. A few take-out menus or a list of nearby options (even if just posted in the lobby) would be helpful.

There are everything you need for breakfast. It is hot in the morning, and there are free drinks and biscuits in the afternoon. It is also very close to whole foods, about ten minutes walk from the subway, and the free shuttle is very good

TTiHad a nice time with the family. The hotel was a nice getaway for a staycation with family. We had someone in a wheelchair and found the room easily accessable for them. It was clean and the check in was easy. The room were big and we had a view of the city I would recommend this hotel.
