It was the first time, that I've been in a traditional Japanese Hotel, but it was an amazing experience.
We booked the room with dinner and breakfast included.
Very tasty food, extremely polite staff.
The open-air onsen was beyond expectations. When we arrived it was raining, so the feeling of hot water and the droplets on your face made it even better.
If I ever come back to Japan - this will be my must-stop.

It was pretty good!
However, there is a mountain road to go here at night, so it is okay if you pay attention to it.
Some of them made me feel old because I was renovating the old building a little.
The current situation is that there are few routes on the Tokai bus
It is quite close if you get off at Shinmachi station!

The hotel is great and room is big for our family of 3 adults. All the facilities are good and the food is good (both dinner and breakfast). The only compliant that I have is that the in room onsan does not work. The temperature wasn't hot enough the first night. When we wanted to try in the morning, the water is even cooler. The front desk agreed to have it checked, but at the time we check out at 10 a.m. it is still not hot enough. In all, we have been chraged for the in room onsan which does not really work.

Because I wanted to see the Kinosaki Coast and Mount Omuro, I chose Kara-ya on Ctrip. Before I went, I added the boss's WeChat, which is the mobile phone number. You can make an appointment with the boss in advance for pick-up and drop-off. As long as the boss is not busy, he can basically meet your needs. The boss is very nice. He has put a lot of thought into the entire indoor and outdoor areas. There are both primitive scenery and cultural atmosphere. Because there are no places to eat nearby, you can book breakfast, lunch and dinner with the boss. Breakfast is 1,000 yen, and lunch and dinner are both 2,000 yen. There is no menu. You can eat whatever the boss cooks, basically a combination of meat and vegetables. The bathroom is public. There are two toilets on each floor, so there will be no shortage. There is a washing machine on the first floor. After washing, you can dry it in the yard behind the house. If the boss is not available for pick-up, you can take a bus in Izu Kogen by yourself. Get off at Omuro Kogen 7-chome and walk 2 minutes to Kara-ya. In short, it is still a good B&B. I hope the business will get better and better.

It is not far from Ito Station, about 10 minutes away. There is also a large AEON and 7-11 along the way. There are also many restaurants near the station.
As soon as you enter the hotel, you will feel comfortable and relaxed. There is an open-air foot bath in the center.
The hot spring ♨️ has men's and women's baths as well as family baths. After taking a bath, drinking a bottle of cold milk is a great enjoyment in life.
The room I stayed in had a private bath, and the shower gel and shampoo I used were from POLA.
The tatami in the room was so comfortable that I couldn't help falling asleep there.
The next day, I took a hot spring bath in the morning and then had breakfast. The hotel's breakfast is also very rich, not stingy at all, and even has golden eye bream shabu shabu
The service staff is also very considerate and speaks good English.
There is a souvenir shop in the hotel
Except for the scenery, it is impeccable.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. The view from the room is good, and you can see the mountains and the sea and it is very healing. I am glad that the hot springs are relatively empty. The employees are also kind and recommended.
We are the one of the best place where you can feel the ocean as if you are in the Ocean

The location is very good, 5 minutes walk from the station, opposite McDonald's and a local fruit shop. The concierge grandfather will wait for you at the door with a list, and the English is very fluent. I didn't set a meal, I went to eat the barbecue of Yuzumei's lonely gourmet. Booked sea view room, less than 800, on the 3rd floor, the restaurant is on the same floor, the corridor has a taste of food... The room is huge, the earth porch is set, the corridor simple kitchen (the stove is sealed), the corridor dressing table, and a room, the balcony is unobstructed sea view, the brain to make up the prosperity of the bubble economy era. Now the facilities are huge, but they are all clean and can be used... At night, the sea breeze makes the aluminum alloy sliding door squeak, with the sound of the waves, the bathroom has a rubber cloth subsidy, and the wall is cracked. The public soup is on the basement floor, and the outdoor pool can see the sea view.

It's a natural hot spring and delicious food! The hot spring giant Ito is well-deserved, and the large bath has springs where you can enjoy the waves, not just soaking quietly. There is also an outdoor bath for peace and tranquility. The restaurant and front desk staff are very considerate, and the pick-up is also very fast. It's very leisurely to walk out at night. In the morning, the restaurant can overlook a little bit of the sea. Although I only stayed for one night, I felt very comfortable and enjoyed it!
Hello This facility has hot spring facilities because it is by appointment only. Therefore, you need to apply in advance when you use it (refer to the front desk when you check in) . The usage time for each room is 1 hour exclusively for each room. At the same time, please note that the hotel rooms with room numbers (107) (106) (105)(103) need to use the public bathing area because they do not have a separate shower room. In principle, only showers are provided. If you need to use the hot spring, please Confirm with the staff according to the instructions above.

As a room with a view, it is quite good. As a semi-youth hostel, the price is reasonable. However, the Thai girl at the front desk is terrible. As a customer service, she has very poor respect and courtesy. She also reminds passengers with children to book a room per person in advance, otherwise it will be more expensive when they arrive at the front desk. I said that he has several cats at home. If you like it, think twice if you are afraid of cats.

The staff here are very helpful and polite, they even helped me to contact the next hotel for clarification. Only I recommend them to build a store room around the parking lot so that the huge size of the luggage can be left there for overseas traveller and no need to bring up to the hotel by walking the long stairs, if any. Also, they can provide a simple map in the website to locate their exact hotel location and nearby shops, cafe and supermarket, train station, etc. For me, I had a great experience spent in this hotel. If you like to see sunrise, it also a good place to stay in ocean view room. If you like running, you can run along the hill side with wonderful ocean view.

Outstanding
VVegan 美味しいI had a fantastic experience at Forest Glaming! The staff, including Mr. Terada & the cool dude with long hair, were not only incredibly friendly but also made an effort to communicate with me in English and encouraged my attempts at speaking Japanese. Despite missing the shuttle bus, Mr. Terada kindly came to pick me up. The resort is a serene haven, offering tranquility and the cleanest toilets I've ever encountered. ✨Being tented near the shower and toilet facilities was an added bonus. 😮💨The food was outstanding, especially the aged domestic beef 🍖 BBQ. The only disappointment was not having the chance to share the wonderful dinner with the staff. I totally recommend Forest Glaming to anyone seeking a rejuvenating escape with exceptional service and facilities. The staff's warmth and willingness to engage in different languages truly enhanced my stay. Fantabulous!!! 😍🥰
GGuest UserThe hotel is located close to the Ito downtown, we were driving so it wasn't an issue. There are plenty of parking at the hotel. The ryokan is well maintained, it doesn't feel old, the onsen are properly modernized and clean. The room is HUGE which, with many functional areas, it was very pleasant room. There is also a private onsen as well for family or couples for a small fee. The private onsen has a good traditional style to it and it was open-air . There are also a chair for old people and toys for kids, so it's well thought out.
Many people seems to like to have their dinner at the private eating room on first floor, so we did the same. They had one service person per 2-3 rooms maybe so we were well serviced, and the guy was very nice. I remember meeting him for dinner, and he realized we can only speak English, so the next morning when we met him again for breakfast, it looks like he made note in his notebook so he can properly introduce the dishes to us in English. I could feel the dedication so thank you to the man.
AAnonymous UserThis time, I stayed with my grandchildren. We brought our own food and were able to relax. We enjoyed ourselves until just before we checked out. We really enjoyed the cleanliness and spaciousness of the facility.
HHuanghuangxiI just saw the good service here, and then I brought my father here to experience the Japanese-style B&B, and my father was very satisfied.
We were able to contact WeChat in advance, and the two ********* girls were very enthusiastic to answer questions. My father can't eat fried and cold food, so dinner can only be eaten outside. The restaurant they recommended is about 8 minutes' walk away. It is the largest restaurant in the area. The service is very good and the price is not high.
The owner of the B&B doesn't talk much, but the service is very good. He took the initiative to pick us up at the station and took the initiative to send us to Mount Omuro. Although the cable car was not running due to strong winds that day, the owner told us that we could see Mount Fuji from the parking lot above. This is also the only place where we can see the top of Mount Fuji during the whole journey.
Finally, when we arrived at Jr, the owner drove our boxes over, which was really considerate.
I hope to bring my children here to stay for a few more days in the summer. There is also a piano here. I tried to talk to them a few times before leaving. It's okay, haha!
GGuest UserWe went to the Izu Peninsula in Japan in mid-February. Due to the low temperature this year, the early cherry blossoms in the Izu River were delayed in blooming. We changed our itinerary to visit Komuroyama Park and Joki Coast in Ito. This Japanese homestay booked online in advance is located in the villa area near the sea at Ise Kogen Station. The surrounding environment is elegant and quiet at night. The owner of the homestay is a Japanese man in his 60s who is kind. We finished our visit from Shuzenji in the afternoon and took a car to transfer here. It was already late. Japan gets off work early, and Ise Kogen Station is empty. There is a big supermarket in front of the station. I bought dinner and breakfast for the next day (fast food is discounted at night). I called the hotel owner to confirm that there are microwave ovens and kettles in the rooms. He drove to the north parking lot of the station in time to pick us up. We met smoothly and stayed in his homestay. The first floor is neatly decorated, with many portraits of pet dogs (the owner is a dog lover)! When going through the procedures, he introduced the surrounding environment and attractions in detail. He also made reasonable suggestions, allowing us to go directly to Atami to watch the cherry blossoms, and made an appointment for breakfast (self-purchased milk and bread), and drove us to the nearest attraction, Joki Coast Park. The guide was enthusiastic along the way (I can speak a few words in Chinese, mainly Japanese and some English). The surrounding scenery is beautiful and it takes 15 minutes to get there. Although I only stayed for one night, I felt good. The environment, service and price were all satisfactory. I would stay for two more days when I have the opportunity to stay free. It is also nice to walk around. There is also a cherry blossom avenue nearby waiting for us to enjoy at the end of March.
BBrian Heng YinHotel staff are excellent. The photos on trip.com may not correspond to the room style but staff honoured the one shown. Room is very spacious and clean. Private onsen is very nice. Hotel location is very convenient and many good dining options withjn close walking distance. Parking is conveniently located next to hotel and it’s free. Staff even valet parked our car when we checked in. The front desk lady we dealt with is probably one of the most helpful, patient and polite hotel staff we’ve met. If I manage a hotel, I would want to hire her.
GGuest UserA group of eight people stayed at the Dadong Pavilion. It was very clean. It should be said that it is a very old hot spring hotel, and the original facilities are preserved! The bathing time is still changed in the morning, so that everyone can have a different bathing experience, which feels quite good. Hotel photos (supplemented later)
Sanitation: Clean
Facilities: Complete
Environment: Good
Food: It is said to be a business meal, western style, the ingredients are very fresh and delicious
GGuest UserThere are some insects in the room. It may be due to the suburban environment that there are more mosquitoes and beetles. The location is relatively remote and there are no restaurants open at night, but the staff is very polite.
CcometdebrisI stayed at Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace for 5 nights booking though Trip.com. Be warned that problems may occur when booking through travel websites such as this one. I booked a standard room with no meals. What I did not know however, was that this reservation did not include any room cleaning services for the entire stay, no taking of garbage or towel replacement, no bed making, nothing at all. When I contacted the travel website to show my disappointment, they immediately contacted the hotel requesting a full refund. I did not expect a full refund for my entire stay. What I did expect, was for someone to acknowledge the fact that this important piece of information should have been indicated someone on the online reservation confirmation. Neither the travel site nor the hotel would acknowledge this.
The travel site replied with a response from the hotel, saying that I was a regular guest and knew about this “regulation”. It’s true, I have visited Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace on several occasions when housekeeping services were not included. However, this was clearly indicated on the reservation, and I stayed during the COVID STATE OF EMERGENCY, when it was standard practice for many hotels to exclude cleaning services. My recent stay was at the beginning of August, WHEN THE STATE OF EMERGENCY AND COVID RESTRICTIONS HAD BEEN LIFTED. It is no longer standard practice to exclude cleaning services at hotels in Japan.
The hotel stated that I visited the front desk every day to get towels and never mentioned the need to clean the room. This is untrue. I only came to the front dest 2 times during my stay, and this is because room cleaning staff entered my room on 2 occasions, so I was expecting them to clean or take out the trash, but they did nothing and left. I expected them to return, however, they never did. The bottom line is the hotel is responsible for communicating their services to customers, especially after covid restrictions have been lifted. Blaming guests for their lack of communication is completely unprofessional.
Now in regards to the hotel itself, I have stayed here on several occasions, I find it to be perfect, mainly because of the location and modest room size. The hotel is conveniently located near Lake Ippeki (Ippekiko) and there is plenty of nature and a few trails in the area. You can step out the door and be on a simple hiking trail within minutes. It’s a very quiet area and very good for children and families. Though the hotel is dated, the rooms are all quite large and include a living room, kitchen with cooking supplies and dishes (but no forks or spoons), a large bath, and both Western and Japanese style bedrooms. Some may be discouraged by the age of the hotel (it’s quite old and could use some renovation), but if you don’t mind that, then I would highly recommend staying here. One point that I need to mention is in regards to the bedrooms. The hotel has replaced their blackout curtains with super thin curtains which allow sunlight to easily shine through. We were woken up at 5:00 am every morning because of the bright sunlight in our room. If you’re a light sleeper, please take note. I wish management would consider this. Also, it’s highly recommended that guests come by car, public transportation is very inconvenient in the area.
Overall, Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace is a very convenient place for a reasonable price. I will definitely be staying here again in the future, but hope that they act with a little more professionalism and consider the fact that the covid state of emergency ended long ago.
WWongThe location is ideal, close to the beach, parking spaces can be arranged, there are large shopping stores nearby, and the hotel retains the advanced equipment that has been used for many months, which is a bit surprised.
