"This was the most disappointing hotel stay of this trip, and quite possibly the worst service experience I've encountered in all my visits to Japan. We arrived at 8 PM only to be informed that the hotel's hot spring was closed. What was truly outrageous was their nonchalant suggestion that we take a taxi to an external hot spring to 'enjoy' ourselves, at our own expense. Is that considered customer service? To make matters worse, the staff member seemed to think this was perfectly reasonable. I was genuinely speechless by his attitude. When we expressed our dissatisfaction and requested a Chinese-speaking staff member to translate, he simply disappeared, only to return much later without offering any satisfactory solution. As for the room, it was truly an embarrassment to Japanese hospitality. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel; the value for money is abysmal.
The only silver lining was waking up to a magnificent view of Mount Fuji right outside our window. I must, however, commend Ctrip; they provided solutions for this dispute even late at night, and their proactive follow-up was truly exceptional."
