The pros are that it is very close to the JR station. The cons are that there is nothing around the JR station and it is far from the city center. However, in mid-March, it was inconvenient to walk because of the snow on the ground. It was very convenient to get off the JR station without dragging luggage. In addition, breakfast and dinner seemed to be free, but I didn't eat because I wanted to go out.
Don't mention the scenery outside the window. Facing the wall, the bright blue of Toyoko Inn at night can be recognized as Toyoko Inn even if it is hundreds of meters away. It is still easy to find the way home even if the phone is out of battery and I don't know the way.

It's opposite the JR station, just outside the station. The breakfast is ok. Find a seat by the window to eat, just facing the Abashiri logo of the JR station. It's very convenient to go to the Abashiri Prison Museum and the Drift Ice Museum. You can ask the staff for a bus schedule. I told them where we were going, and the front desk highlighted the time for us. By the way, the bus to the Drift Ice Museum is in front of Sukiya, and the return bus stops at the JR station.

체크인 시간보다 한참 앞선 시간, 얼굴에 철판을 깔고 염치없게 벨을 눌렀으나 숙소의 주인분께서 생각보다 관대하게 맞이해주셨고, 상냥하게 숙소의 소개를 받을 수 있었다.
꽤 긴시간을 체류했지만 내가 워낙 게으른 인간이고, 사람과의 관계에 밝지않아 숙소의 주인분과 친해지는 과정이 그리 순조롭진 않았으나 그럼에도 불구하고 따뜻하게 나의 속도에 맞춰주듯이 천천히 이야기를 이어나갈 수 있었다.
숙소를 떠나는 날에는 나도 제법 마음이 가벼워져 이런저런 이야기를 나누었는데 그 짧은 시간이 너무나도 아쉽게 느껴질 정도로 장소와 사람에게 정이 들어있음을 느낄 수 있었다.
온정이 느껴지는 숙소의 외관, 세련된 내관, 아름다운 바깥의 풍경을 느끼고 싶지만 접근성때문에 망설여진다면 아바시리의 대부분을 500~700엔으로 이동할 수 있는 도코버스를 이용하면 되기 때문에 너무 큰 걱정을 할 필요는 없을 것 같다.

The hotel retains the characteristics of 20 to 30 years ago. If you like nostalgia, you can choose this hotel. Although the hotel is large, it does not have advanced equipment, poor sound insulation, and a separate button is required to turn on the refrigerator. Rust stains can be seen in the bathroom bathtub, the wash basin is peeling, there is no separate bottled water, and the paid breakfast (2,200 yen per person) is also very disappointing. There is nothing to eat before the hour is up, and there are few choices...

Facilities: The hotel is quite old. It should be a building from the Showa era, but the facilities in the house are well maintained and fully equipped.
Hygiene: Hygiene is very good
Environment: The environment is good, but Abashiri is indeed a bit depressed due to the aging population and the exodus of young people. The largest group may be tourists who come to see the drift ice in winter. It is about 1km away from Abashiri JR Station and is close to the shopping street and slightly far from the station.
Service: The service is very good and communication in Japanese is very smooth.

Very good owner, kind and welcoming, family farm environment is good, suitable for driving, there is still a distance from the city of Abashiri, the bus is less and there is no car at 5 o'clock in the afternoon, only a taxi. Can be about the boss to pick up, breakfast is good 😊

I stayed here for two nights as a stopover to Shiretoko. The location is very good and it is convenient to get on and off the airport bus. The direct bus to Shiretoko is right outside the Abashiri Station, which is very convenient. There is a steak family restaurant opposite and Sukiya, so basic food and drinks are no problem.

Coming all the way from Sapporo, Otaru, Obihiro, Kushiro, Rausu, and Abashiri, the hotel has the lowest value for money among the hotels I have stayed in. Maybe it’s because of Abashiri’s market conditions. The service is kept to a minimum. There is no hair dryer in the large bathroom, and I have to go back to the room to blow it. There are only two sockets, so a bunch of electrical appliances can only be charged in turns.
There is no air-conditioning remote control. The buttons are like central air-conditioning switches. They can only control the air volume, but cannot adjust the temperature. If it gets cold in the middle of the night, put on more clothes.
The grade is not as high as expected, and the difference will not be too big if you look at it as a low-end hotel.

The hotel is definitely wrong. The inn seems to be lower grade. The outique does not cover the essence of the meal. It is always poor and difficult to meet. Or the French will play, it is said that the travel method of accommodation in order to pursue food has begun 100 years ago, Japan's auberge began in the bubble economy, and it is impossible to collect. Now, luxury must have a luxury meal to accompany, otherwise, how to enjoy? The decoration of this hotel is not my favorite style at all, stuff is too full, no rules, suffocating. I even determined that the boss himself designed everything according to his own preferences. For example, there is a corner in the lobby that is said to be the appearance of his grandfather's hometown. Some places will have a little whims, such as drilling a few holes in the wood, so that the light can be illuminated from the inside. Such a design, self-appreciation is no problem, put in public places, it is generally the same. I really don't understand what this boss is going to do, from porcelain, wood, to the case board made by the prisoner, there are many things that I don't understand, all-inclusive, and no idea at all. A young employee walked up, a little bit awkward, in the past in this grade of auberge never seen, warm hot flow from the heart, wayward boss should also be a kind boss, a comfortable boss in life. Dare to call auberge, the guests must have no low expectations for the meal, after eating two meals, my evaluation is to win in good ingredients, good ingredients or good ingredients. The hotel does not have a bus to the airport, but you can take a bus to the bus station near the hotel and arrange a car to pick you up. Remember to email the hotel in advance, and the hotel staff will respond quickly. Don't think about walking from the bus station to the hotel with your luggage, one is that it is very far, the road is very slanted, and it is wet and you can't pull the luggage in winter.
The hotel has buses to various scenic spots in Abashiri, which is very convenient and must be praised!
The food is average, it can only be said to be okay, not good.
There are not many people in the hot spring, and there are some fallen objects in the outdoor pool. I don't know what it is, but it should not be dirty.
