"Great location and clean rooms, but a few things fell short of 4-star standards. Room service wasn't very responsive, and basic amenities like bathrobes were missing. The pool area is spacious with spa options, but the water isn’t temperature-controlled. Breakfast had many choices, though the taste was average. On the plus side, the staff was helpful and assisted me in getting the Dubrovnik Pass, which I appreciated."

"Hotel location is good. The bus stop is just next to the hotel and takes only 10 minutes by bus to the old city wall. Staff at the front desk are friendly and they'll give you directions wherever we want to go."

"Hotel is pretty clean, the room is large with a balcony. Hotel includes sauna, salt sauna, hammam, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a pretty good gym, PlayStation and computer play area. Breakfast is very good. Fruits selected are very tasty. Hotel is about 20min drive to old town, you can catch a Uber which costs around 20 euro. Distance to airport is 45 min drive cost around 45 euro. Hotel provides shuttle bus services to old town (8 euro per person one way) and taxi services to airport (60 euro). Drivers are very polite. Price is reasonable. Hotel staff are in general very nice. Shortcoming are the lunch/dinner restaurants. Tried almost all restaurants and the only good one is Veranda but the price is the highest. The price of all restaurants is pretty high. Not the hotel
charges high but in general the price of the restaurants in Dubrovnik area is in the high range. There is no soft sand beaches. But the ocean is very clear and we can see different kinds of fishes doing snorkelling."

"It is a large hotel not far from the old town. Parking is free at the hotel. If you are with a family of four, you are better off ordering an Uber or similar taxi for €8 than waiting for the bus in the heat. A bus ride to the city costs €2 p.p. Parking in the city is screaming expensive. The hotel breakfast continues to brunch until 13:00. That is nice for those who sleep in. The food is generally okay. Don't expect culinary surprises, just good enough to eat in the hotel. The pool is large, but for the beach you have to walk out of the hotel grounds."

"We booked one bed apartment, the apartment was very stylish and spotless. The kitchen appliances including electric hob, dish washer, coffee machine,fridge freezer and microwave. The villa manager Anita was extremely friendly, helpful and polite. We had great time staying in the Villa Filaus. Will definitely recommend."

"The room was very spacious, the bed was big, and the air conditioning worked well, so it was comfortable. Because the room was so large, the pure white walls felt impersonal, and I thought it was a waste not to display paintings or anything like that. The breakfast was very delicious, but I was personally disappointed that there was no soup. The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and I was grateful. The man at the breakfast venue seemed a little cold in his attitude."

"Everything was great - fabulous location and breakfast, the staff was super pleasant and we had great views - the only thing I would change is the bed was a little hard - I know some people like that but was too hard for me!
Also - I’ve seen this comment before but you have to be able to walk up several flights of stairs with your luggage and you cannot Uber or taxi directly to the hotel - it’s about a 5 minute walk + the stairs from the nearest drop off. Absolutely worth it for the view and location but just a heads up if that’s a no for you or if you need wheelchair access!
In the photos are a view from the hotel balcony for breakfast and the hotel from the other side of the beach! Gorgeous!"

PPangzhixiaobaoExcellent: The breakfast is very good, and the pool view is very good. The service of this hotel is really 5-star, and all the staff will take the initiative to greet. The male receptionist is very good, and he will explain clearly what you ask, and take the initiative to show you the way. Oh, and email inquiries, the reply is very fast, the information is accurate and efficient. It is very convenient to take a taxi. The first three transactions using the local taxi app are half off, and it only takes 3.41 euros to the old town pile gate.
Disadvantages: Everything else is very satisfactory, but the room is too small. The same 25 square meters, this one can't open two boxes. Later I realized that it might be because the balcony took up an area. You can see the sea, but it is on the side. The shower room is not designed reasonably, the water from the overhead shower head trickles, and the movable faucet is too low, so you have to hold it by hand. The shower room door is half open, so you have to be very careful when taking a shower. The supermarket is a 10-minute walk, and you have to walk through the woods and parks with no lights at night. It is actually very safe, but it is a bit scary to walk alone.

WWanderlustfoodieGreat location for solo female travellers. 7mins walk to the old town where you can get food and take day trips from. In the afternoon when it gets too hot, you can come back to the hotel for a siesta or chill by the deck chairs. House keeping was great with constant refreshing of the room. Would stay here again.
Only negative is that there’s a live band playing at a nearby beach club from 8pm to around 10.50pm each night. Can’t get any rest until the set ends (even with ear plugs on). I had assumed that the live band was playing at a restaurant within the hotel as the music was so loud but the concierge clarified that it was from a nearby beach club and it’s because it’s summer. To be fair the music was nice but loud.

001Kevin1226yiThe hotel is located in the resort area of the new city, and the scenery is very good! We guys stayed in the garden view room! It's on the first floor, lower than the road. It's okay for a few guys to stay, but if you are a couple, don't stay. Choose a sea view room! The scenery is too different! There is a bus to the old town 5 minutes away from the door! The drive takes about 20 minutes! It's very convenient! The breakfast is first-class! The lobby is simple! The room is clean and comfortable! There are several swimming pools!

We were a bit worried about the hotel being away from everything, but the bus that departed from out the front every 20 minutes to the old town made getting around Dubrovnik very easy.

GGuest UserAbsolutely a wonderful hotel all around. The buffet breakfast was extraordinary with so much to offer. What is exceptional about this property that I learned once we got there was how they have an Asian spa version of rooms in their spa. They have a salt room, steam room, igloo room, a turkish bath, indoor pool, warm pool, cold pool, rainforest shower ... we went to the pool and in the sea off the cliffs everyday and it was just wonderful. At night they had live entertainment. One of the best hotels in the wrold!

GGuest UserThe pros: I arrived 2 hours earlier and was thankful that concierge checked me in immediately. The view from my room was wonderful and the breakfast variety was fine though the same menu was served daily throughout my 4 night stay. The vicinity of Lapad is not near to the old town, but I specifically selected the area/hotel to be away from crowds and large tour groups, so I’m happy with it. The area is beautiful, with plenty of rock coves for walks and exploration.
The cons: Mirror to the cupboard was cracked and plastered over with aluminium tape, design of the room is definitely dated, carpets are a little stained though these are not important to me.
As a solo female Asian traveller, I do observe that older staff, male especially, communicate with some sense of superiority towards me, in comparison to western guests. In other words, I do not feel welcome. That applies to Dubrovnik in general, while in Zagreb, service staff are much friendlier.

SSharon AmandaThis is a really nice budget hotel, located in Lapad, away from the hustle & bustle of the old town, and close to the beach. We had a large room with an extremely comfortable bed/pillows, and a terrace/balcony. I thought it was a great idea to have clothes drying racks on the balconies, perfect for your beach towels & swimsuits. We had the breakfast, and it was pretty much the same every day. But even for us vegans, we could get something nice to eat. And for people with no dietary restrictions, there is even more choice. Our shower was faulty, which we reported to staff on our first morning. As it was the weekend, they advised that it probably wouldn't be fixed immediately, but by Tuesday we had a brand new shower head (the shower was usable, just faulty - we didn't have to exist without a shower!) The staff were lovely, friendly, helpful, and gave good tips about the beaches and surrounding area.
There is a bus stop directly across the street from the hotel, where you can catch Bus 6 to the old town. The buses are small and very busy (September) and the cost is 2.50 euro one way. We did also buy tickets in advance from the kiosk in the town, where they are a little cheaper (1.70). And I must admit, we walked to the old town on several occasions. 30 minute walk, but with beautiful views. The beaches close by are lovely. There is a great walking path along the coast, and at some spots you can walk down stone steps to small seating areas, where you can also jump into the ocean and swim. We did this instead of going to the pebble beaches and hiring sun loungers.
Overall, this was a really nice hotel, perfect for what we wanted. It is not high end, glam or luxurious, but it is comfortable, clean and friendly.

BBo hyeWe booked the Vis Hotel, but due to technical issues, we were assigned to a different hotel. From what I've seen on Google reviews, this seems to happen quite often. We ended up staying at the Komodor Hotel. The hotels around there are all in the same community, so if there's a problem with one hotel, they'll move you to another hotel.
The hotel was located right in front of the bus stop, so it was easy to get to Old Town, and the staff was very friendly.
The breakfast was also delicious. If I had to pick a downside, it would be that the hairdryer was very weak and old. If you need a hairdryer, you should bring your own.

I am a seasoned traveler world wide and I have stayed in a lot of 3-4 star places but this one I would rate as a 1.5 star.
I was so disappointed in my room it looked like a run down storage room not like a nice comfortable room like the pictures display at all on the booking site.
There was no air-conditioner as stated in the amenities list, nor was there a TV as stated in the amenities list as both TV and Air-conditioner were not working there was an issue with the room door unlocking it .
Also the bedroom flooring was old and worn carpet that had stains and dried vomit on it.
There is no safe in the bedroom as stated.
There was an air cooler and pedestal fan in the room which only just made it bearable on a hot day and night.
There is no parking if you have a car . There are five flights of narrow stair to climb with luggage. If your on the top floor. There is not lift.
The room has a very much lowered wedge shape wall /ceiling that takes up a lot of room and you can injure your head if your not careful in the dark.
There is no concierge as stated in fact most of what has been stated as the amenities and parking is a big lie as they either don't exist or they don't work.
With what I paid I could gave gotten a better room for the same money somewhere.
The managerr never showed up so I could talk to them about the issues. From what I have read else where in reviews this accomodation is really bad and in my thoughts this place and the owner of this business need a good shake up or shut down as they really don't care about the clients. It just about ripping people off and taking money. I highly recommend not booking this place as it is really bad.
