Leipziger Hof Innsbruck

The positive: Professional and friendly staff. Every single one. Very clean. Excellent breakfast. Location is very good. Comfortable bedding. The downside: Our room. We had a triple room. We had been traveling for a week and had various versions of triple rooms and this was the worst of all of them, mainly due to the layout, and also, when you looked out the room, you saw another building. Maybe if you could see the park it would feel more open. But in the room with the double bed, the only thing that fit was the bed. Hardly any more space. No art work on the wall; nothing to make it feel warm. It felt quite sterile. Also there was no couch or chair to sit on (well, one single chair), this odd hallway between the rooms that connected to the bathroom. It's a nice hotel, but I would not recommend it if you need a triple room.

Very enjoyable stay at Hotel Leipziger Hof on our first visit to Innsbruck. Hotel is close to the railway station and, while a bit away from Old Town area, there is a tram stop close by which reaches the central area within 5 mins. The Innsbruck Welcome Cards provided by the hotel at check-in allow unlimited free use of the trams and buses and were much appreciated by us. Our room was well-equipped and very comfortable. The breakfast provided a good selection in a comfortable environment. The reception and waiting staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The only downside is that the restaurant is not open at weekends. Arriving on a Sunday after 14 hours travel, we would have preferred to eat in on our first night rather than have to travel into the Old Town to find a restaurant. However, the night we did eat in the hotel restaurant, the quality and service were first class. Hotel Leipziger Hof is highly recommended.

We arrived on a rainy evening and were warmly greeted by the two receptionists. We had booked a private underground parking place and having a largish car it was very tricky to negotiate the tight corner at the top of the ramp into the car park. It’s much easier to get out!. Plenty of space once inside. The hotel has a traditional vibe and the reception area is welcoming. Our room on the second floor was simple in style with plenty of storage space , hangers and a fair sized flat TV. No fridge but a minibar type dispenser is at the end of the landing. The room was ok but it would have been lovely if q window had been previously opened and a pleasant smelling diffuser used to freshen it. The bed was large, comfortable and had pristine white sheets. A nice touch which literally lightened the room was the led lighting behind the bed head. The bathroom was very clean but rather dated re tiles and facilities. The shower was over a smallish bath and quite difficult to use as the bath screen didn’t fold back and the shower was quite hard to get under. It did work brilliantly and there was plenty of hot water. Towels were rather thin and far from luxurious. However we had a most comfortable night’s sleep. Some toiletries such as body lotion and a shower cap, plus generic bottles of hand wash and showerwash/shampoo were provided. Breakfast is included in the price and was plentiful, including hot options, as well as hot drinks and fresh orange juice. These were served by a pleasant and helpful lady and was enjoyable. The hotel is reasonable value for money and all staff we met were helpful and pleasant.
