We arrived at one o'clock in the afternoon, about twenty minutes walk from Windermere train station, which is a bit far away. This hotel is actually in Bowness, closer to the lake. You can't check in when you arrive, you need to wait until two o'clock in the afternoon. Our family had to wait to check in in the afternoon sun, and ate the sandwiches we brought with our suitcase as the table. Check in on time at two o'clock. The room is on the third floor, there is no elevator, the stairs are very narrow, and it is a bit difficult to carry luggage. It’s a pity that the room is good, although it is an old house, the facilities are relatively new and the bed is relatively large. It's less than ten minutes' walk from the lake, much closer than the train station. There are small supermarkets and restaurants near the hotel, which is more convenient. It must be noted that luggage storage is marked on the website. In fact, it is not allowed to deposit. It is six pounds at the visitor center, only until 5 pm.
