NNatalieThe hotel is at an excellent location if you want to stay within the city but at the quieter end. The room was much older than the photos shown on the website and it's not the cleanest. We have initially booked the top floor with an outdoor bathtub, unfortunately there were a big young group staying on our floor and made a lot of noises in the evening, so we ended up moving to the 2nd floor (twin bed with a balcony room type) which was a lot better and look slightly newer.
Though the communication was not the most straight forward, but the staffs were helpful and helped us to call taxis to/from the high speed railway (RMB40). The room came with 1 x free entrance to the local Miao Village but the catch is that you'll need to book a car to get there. We were kind of interested and didn't mind paying the extra cost to get there (which I guess would be on a higher end), but the departure time that was offered to us was not flexible (even though in theory it's a private driver that we will hire for 3-4 hours) and so we didn't go.

TThuy MobbsThe hotel far exceeded our expectation with making everything at ease from the moment we arrived at the train station in FurongZhen ( free pick up), then welcomed us with a bowl of fresh fruits, kindly upgraded a better room with amazing mountain view! The staff are extremely helpful, using Chinese-English translation efficiently to show us what places to see around the town. Breakfast is basic ( only Chinese style): boiled eggs, fried eggs, dumplings, baobuns and coffee(no tea) and some fruits(small plums). The room is spacious with clean and comfortable beds. The hotel is only some minute walk to the waterfall and the square. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and good value for money! We would stay again if we come back this town.Thank you for insect repellant gifts!

AAnonymous UserCan not say enough good things about this lovely hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff and the facilities were amazing. Very friendly atmosphere, really nice rooms - rustic charm but clean, everything worked, great bathroom with plenty of hot water, nice balcony, and in the morning a great breakfast - a good choice of cereal, coffee, bao, eggs, congee, and with additional food made on-demand by the kitchen staff.
The hotel is very well located right in the middle of the old town / scenic area, and the staff helped arrange pre-ordering and payment of the scenic area tickets (at a small discount), along with free collection from the train station. Would not hesitate to recommend staying here if you’re visiting Furong.

GGuest UserThe location is excellent, very close to the performance venue, and the riverside views are absolutely stunning. The owner was incredibly kind and went above and beyond: she drove us to the bus station to catch a taxi and even helped us with our luggage in the rain. A huge thank you to her! The scenery was so beautiful that I couldn't resist extending my stay for another day.

KKaitlyn555I really enjoyed staying here. Affordable price, great location and friendly, helpful service. The staff picked me up from the train station - he was waiting for me and communicates via wechat, he will help you buy your entry ticket to the scenic area on the way to the inn, he carried my 25kg suitcase up some stairs and wheeled it to my room. Room is as pictured / advertised but bonus that it has a western toilet too - very happy. The view is wonderful, feels like youre in the country village but less than 15min walk to the waterfall scenic area.
I arrived at 12.30pm and explore Furong for about 4hrs including lunch and watched x3 10min performances then went back to the inn for shower and rest. Went out again around 7pm for quick dinner and x2 night shows. The 9pm show in the theatre is really good. Make sure you carry your paper ticket at all times as theres many checkpoints - staff scan qr code on ticket. You can enter/exit as many times as you like within 3 days.
Do stay at a local homestay type place to support the residents here. Its a great experience and a nice change from hotels. Honest! Its also a great way to immerse yourself with the people when travelling through China.

EElizabeth CowleyThis place was so clean and had a great location! It was around the corner from the entrance to furong ancient Town and there was also a coffee shop and supermarket near by. The owners took me to the train station for free too, I did try to add them on we chat to see if they could pick me up as i got into furong very late, but they didnt add me, luckily there were taxis outside 🙏😊 The lady is so friendly as took me straight to the ticket counter when I arrived!

Mmakia11It’s a wonderful place to stay. The room is spotless and beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. The bed was very comfortable, and the heating worked perfectly in cold weather. The location is also excellent.
The only downside was the bathtub area, which looked different from the pictures. In reality, it has a half-open window instead of a full-size one, so in winter, cold air comes in, making it too cold to take a bath. But in spring or summer, it must be a great experience!
All in all, we had a wonderful, cozy stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

VVaiFurong Ancient Town isn’t accessible by car in its main attraction area, as the town is beautifully built along a river that flows into a majestic waterfall. This B&B is perfectly located, about a 5-minute stroll from the main car park, and sits right next to the riverside.
Depending on the room you book, you may be treated to river views and even a partial view of the waterfall. We were lucky to have both. However, it’s worth noting that some inner rooms don’t have any views, so it’s best to confirm when booking.
The B&B also has a convenient adjoining restaurant. You can dine indoors or head up to the rooftop open-air seating area, which offers a stunning panoramic view of the town and river, perfect for a relaxed meal with a scenic backdrop.
Rooms are clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The owner is incredibly helpful. We arranged our arrival via Trip.com message chat, and he kindly waited for us at the Furong Railway Station to pick us up.
One thing to note, depending on your preferences, is the presence of bars nearby. There’s live music and a lively atmosphere in the evening, which can be a plus if you enjoy a drink or two with some music. However, if you value peace and quiet, the sound might be noticeable until it winds down around 11 PM. As with most ancient towns these days, nightlife has become part of the experience. Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs or consider booking a room away from the main area.
Overall, a great stay in an unbeatable location. Highly recommended!

RRaooooooooThe room was amazing because it’s at the center of the ancient city. They also have washing machine which was very helpful although it didn’t have the drying feature but we just hung our clothes so it wasn’t really a problem. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful. I traveled with my mom (64yo) and aunt (52yo). We had many luggages so we were very afraid of having to carry it up & down the stairs. 1 day before our arrival I texted them via Wechat and they said they’ll be waiting for us at the stair to help us carry the luggages. The owner and the front desk lady not only helped us on our arrival but also on our departure at 8am in the morning.
They helped us to buy the boat ticket which I’d say is a must! The boat ride was definitely my top highlight of visiting China. They also helped to book our morning car ride to the station. All in all, their helpfulness was what makes the stay felt so comfortable.
10/10 definitely would recommend to anyone.

WWilliam LaliberteThe hotel is in need of renovation. The bathroom showed a lot of wear and tear, dirty shower, broken toilet seat, and there were visible patches on the ceiling where paint was missing. Most of the power outlets didn’t work, and the TV screen was damaged.
Breakfast was technically included, but the options were extremely poor — just plain noodles, a steamed bun, and hard-boiled eggs. To make matters worse, I even saw a big rat in the kitchen, which says everything about the hygiene standards.
For the steep price of 1000 RMB per night, this was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Honestly, the experience wasn’t worth more than 200 RMB per night.
It felt like a complete tourist trap. If you’re visiting Furong, I strongly recommend not staying overnight. Hotels here are overpriced and not worth it. Instead, enjoy a drink, take in the scenery, and then find accommodation elsewhere. Been there, done that — never coming back.
