"Comfortable and affordable! It's a short walk from Liuhe Night Market, with paid parking nearby. This hotel is a great place to stay in Kaohsiung. We booked a cheaper windowless room on TripAdvisor, but were upgraded to a corner room for four on a high floor. The hotel has addressed the shortcomings mentioned in the reviews, and the front desk staff proactively facilitated self-check-in. The overall ambiance and air conditioning were satisfactory. There are some hotel parking spaces in front, but they're limited. The outdoor pool and hot tub also satisfied our preferences. The soundproofing was a little lacking, but since we were in a corner room, it didn't affect us. We were very satisfied with our stay and look forward to returning."

"We stayed at this hotel in March. While this review is in English, we communicated to them in Chinese. We also observed that they could converse with simple English with the international guests. Service - The hotel staff were friendly. We were greeted upon entering the door, and attended to immediately. The check-in process was fast. They also explained to us about the amenities - there is an enclosed area where we can chill, enjoy free drinks and ice cream. We were also entitled to one free drink from the par per day.  Even the housekeepers were friendly. There was an elderly housekeeper on Level 8 who greeted us and offered to guide us to our rooms - was impressed by this because I wasn't expecting this from any housekeeper from any hotel! The receptionist at the level 2 morning buffet hall was also very attentive. I was looking around for the toilet, when one of the staff saw me and asked me if I needed any help. Please keep this proactiveness up :) Food - The breakfast spread was huge and the food was scrumptious. Absolutely recommend. It has a mix of local ********* dishes and western food. I especially love the ********* food spread! (see photos for some of the food options, though i didnt take photo of everything). Room - The room was sufficient and clean. Housekeeping also does a great job at tidying the room. Location - Right next to Kaohsiung Main Station. I could walk directly to the hotel from the station - it seems like the renovation works that the earlier hotel reviews talked about has been resolved, so there is no longer a need to go to the hotel in a roundabout manner.  Super convenient. Other Amenities - They have washing machines, dryers, and even an ironing board! Powder detergent is provided too. This was something we really appreciated. Also, like what I earlier mentioned, they have a hall with the free-flow ice cream and drinks, which is a great place to chill and relax - especially at night after a long day of activities.  Overall, I will recommend Kindness hotel to those staying in Kaohsiung!"

"Another return trip for short business trip to this lovely hotel. Centrally located very near to the Sandou shopping street. All facilities are available in nearby shops. The room rates includes free breakfast and 24 hours free snacks and ice cream in the hotel lounge. Room is comfortable and equipped with all the basic necessities. I really love the shower with strong pressure and special shower heads. Will positively recommend this hotel to all travellers"

"The hotel is well-equipped and is situated in a great location. They provide a no-frills ********* breakfast every morning, and we enjoyed the drinks and snacks that are available 24/7! Although the hotel is a little dated, I appreciate that the rooms were spacious and comfortable, which was good for the price we paid. No complaints, would recommend to others and stay again when I'm back in Kaohsiung!"

"Very comfortable hotel for the price and location. Bed and duvet very comfortable as well. The only complaint would be the sound insulation - there is a large gap under the door - 2cm, so I could hear every single movement of the guest next door opening and closing their door… so imagine they would be able to hear mine as well. I’d stay here again. Hope the hotel finds a way to improve that gap issue."

"Location was great..it was challenge for me to find the hotel as it was at level 6..going around vicinity and the actual building trying to find where was the hotel as no signage at level 1 or outside the building. Only ask the guard 亚洲广场大楼then able to find the hotel was actually at level 6. Room was big and price not expensive. Value for money"

"The place is ok. The staff is just ok, I can't say they are too good either. They have a non-sense pedantic rule that you must collect your dishes and put them in a tray place. I felt like I am in McDonalds or in a trashy human factory. Meanwhile the staff are sitting doing nothing. As a guest, when I go to a hotel I want to relax, I have enough with tidying up and cleaning things at home, the least thing I want at a hotel is doing the same. Breakfast itself is ok but milk tea is EXTREMELY sweet and no milk tea option without sugar so if you do not wanna get diabetes type B you won't be able to enjoy breakfast. The rest is mostly very high carbs suggary or fried fatty stuff except a small salad buffet and scrambled eggs. There was no coffee during my stay as coffee machine was broken so cannot rate it. Checkin should be conveniently done with a kiosk downstairs but when I came it was broken too. The place feels comfortable and private. Water has only BOILING HOT water. So it does not have a mixer so you can shower for the first minute, then water is boiling super hot and there is no way to mix it up with cold water or make temperature cold down. It is funny cause travelling around the world I found some countries where it is difficult to get hot water but first time in my life finding a hotel where it is difficult to get cold water. Location is just ok, it is a bit far from MRT but most staff is nearby."

"It's very close to Kaohsiung Station and the cleaning is very clean. The only drawback is that the spare parts are not given in response to environmental protection and it is inconvenient to have to buy special ones. But the rest is good~"
