While we were disappointed when we were told that we would be staying in Corsen house after the lodge itself was closed earlier in the year all was forgiven when we got to the room. Both sides of the house appear to have ocean views and our room was on the front on the first floor and it was lovely. Two comfortable chairs along with a huge bed and clean bathroom. Having seen the Keltic lodge in person Corsen house was a blessing in disguise it looked, from the outside, dated and given the look of one of the lodges, again from the outside, dangerous. Back to our stay which was very comfortable. Was a little disappointed with the restaurant, although the food was nice and it had lovely views, we had a window seat. I do think it felt a bit basic but that could just be me, server was good though. Comfortable bed.

Lovely from far. Lovely views facing ocean. Terribly run down. Smells like an old motel. Plastic flowers at front reception. Sheets feel itchy. Furniture 1970s. Roof peeling, paint peeling. Why haven't they taken care of this property? Reception looks like a motel 6. Completely neglected and run down.

It is a fantastic location, but a very dated property and outrageously overpriced and expensive. $600+ for a standard room is not at all worth it despite the views. We checked in and had a wedding going on outside the room and guests walking back and forth in front of our room. Young front staff demonstrated little professional experience.

We needed a place to stay after driving the entire Cabot Trail. Based in upon location, this property seemed perfect. Unfortunately it was not. We did not realize that it was owned by the Provisional Park. It is not a private property. Way over priced for what you get. It is a shame because of the perfect location. The far section of the peninsula is closed off. The original manor building is closed down and one building just past it caught on fire and was left there in disrepair. Food is mediocre and I could go on and on. The bottom line is do not stay here….living on it’s past.

I cannot express how much you should NOT book your vacation here. I went here in July for a wedding and it was an absolute disaster. The staff is awful and the service is no better. 1. We arrived and my friend was supposed to have a room with a pull out couch. Last minute, the hotel changed her room with someone else's without getting her approval. She specifically asked (and paid!) for a room with a pull-out, which they agreed to, then ended up giving her a room with no couch. 2. When we arrived we were told there was a complimentary breakfast in the restaurant on site. We had the (very subpar) breakfast, and at the end were told we had to pay because it was not in fact complimentary. 3. During the wedding, the staff put a candle on the head table with no coaster/candle holder. As a result, while everyone was dancing or out on the balcony, the table caught fire. *I* put the fire out as the staff were busy drinking and dancing with each other. To make matters worse, the hotel blamed the fire on us and created a blatant lie that the staff had to put the fire out with an extinguisher. Absolutely false. 4. The cherry on the cake was that during the reception, the incredibly rude front guest staff crashed the wedding in their "clubbing" clothes. Truly the only reason I gave 1 star is because of the view. Incredible land, its a shame such a horrid venue is wasting it. I highly recommend going in town about 10 minutes to find lodging. There are adorable little cabins and a great coffee shop and farm. TLDR; Don't waste your money/time at this place.

We stayed at the lodge as a splurge. The room was comfortable and the grounds beautiful. We were expecting a Scottish experience but nothing here reflected the heritage or tradition. I think they could really do more to expand on that theme. The music was American ( buffet, John Denver etc.. ) We had a way better Scottish atmosphere at a cool bar in Cheticamp. Food was so so but we did have a great waiter in the lounge who helped us to have a good time.

You are paying for the views and location, that's all. If you can accept that, then you will not be disappointed. The Corson House is in a desperate need of a do-over. Beds are uncomfortable and the food for breakfast was not worth it. We just wanted to get started on our hike early so we opted for it. This lodge could be so much more, but needs investment. But the views are spectacular, both on the property and on the Middle Head trail, and although there are definitely cheaper options in Ingonish, they are not necessarily better options in terms of comforts and amenities. So, I was not disappointed since I knew what I was paying for, location, location, location. One night was enough.

The Keltic Lodge has a wonderful location with terrific views from all sides. The old old at the bluff of the hill is closed and no one seemed sure of its future. Check in was friendly and efficient Room was lovely, spacious with great views overlooking Ingonish beach. Bathroom was adequate with shower, no bath. In fact the only disappointment was the restaurant. The food choices for dinner, were limited, we were told a couple of chefs had not shown up. And what we chose was not good. Service was good, waiter from Bournemouth UK was very personable and efficient. The dinner was mediocre at best and poor value Breakfast also not great. One waiter spent the entire time we were having breakfast leaning against a counter, with his back to incoming guests. If you were lucky he would turn around and say” it’s a buffet, seat yourselves” we watched him for 45 minutes and he hardly moved. Two female waiters worked hard and looked after guests. Buffet was ok but not inspiring In summary, hotel was good, views wonderful, rooms comfortable but F&B a real disappointment. And costs of meals were way above value provided. Even hotel rate when compared internationally, was high

We stayed in the Corson House at Keltic Lodge in July 2024, and were unfortunately left disappointed. Upon arrival, we noticed one of our rooms seemed warm but we assumed it would cool down overnight. During the night we realized the AC was not working and the room was hot and stuffy. In the morning, we noticed the bathroom outlet also didn't work and told the front desk about the outlet and AC. That evening, both the AC and the outlet were still not functioning. Again, we notified the front desk and headed to dinner. After dinner, we were moved to another room because the AC could not be fixed. As compensation, the front desk offered free breakfast. We were surprised that the spa and hot tubs closed at 6:00PM, and when we tried to go to the hot tub at 5:30PM, we were told by staff the outdoor hot tub was already closed. Our rooms had patios and while we were sitting on the patio the hotel staff started power washing hood vents in the grass about 10 meters from where we were sitting. Additionally, there was a large and noisy generator parked in front of our patios that was running throughout our stay. We reached out about these issues after our stay and did not hear back from the lodge. Positives: the lodge location is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. However, we were disappointed with our stay and wouldn't recommend it.
