Despite being marketed as one of Indore’s finest hotels, our experience was deeply disappointing.
Service & Staff Behavior:
Service was slow and disorganized from the start. Buying swimwear took over 30 minutes, with staff calling multiple people just to find the right size. Breakfast was chaotic—items ran out frequently, and we had to chase staff to replenish basics. Most requests were either ignored or delayed.
We also inquired about the golf facility (as advertised), but none of the staff had a clue. The query was passed from one person to another until we gave up entirely.
Amenities & Facilities:
The pool area lacked proper facilities. There were no showers or decent changing rooms—just three flimsy tents near the pool. The actual changing rooms were located far away, requiring a walk through public corridors in swimwear, which was awkward.
Gym access was equally frustrating—you couldn’t enter the floor without a separate access card, which had to be requested from reception each time.
Room Quality & Cleanliness:
The room was small, poorly ventilated, and lacked a bathroom exhaust fan. After a shower, it became hot and humid, making it uncomfortable even for short stays. The in-room phone barely worked, and there were no clear instructions to contact specific services. When calls did go through, responses were often delayed.
Privacy Concerns:
The most concerning incident was a breach of privacy: a staff member entered the room using a master key while I was getting ready, claiming no one responded to the doorbell. This, despite knowing a pet was in the room. Completely unacceptable.
Dining:
The breakfast buffet was limited and ended early (10:00–10:30 AM). There was no in-room breakfast option, and overall food quality was average. The bar closed at 10:30 PM, which is quite early for a hotel of this category.
In-room dining was just as disappointing. After meals, we placed trays outside the room, as is standard in most hotels. Shockingly, they remained there until the next day. Staff walked by multiple times but made no effort to collect them. We had to call room service to get them removed—and saw similar neglect outside other rooms.
Check-out & Miscellaneous:
Checkout was chaotic. A guest ahead of us was arguing with staff over poor service, causing a 30-minute delay. When it was finally my turn, I was redirected to another counter because the staff member didn’t have access to process the checkout.
I had casually asked about the spa and mentioned I might book if time allowed. The next day, the spa team called the broken in-room phone multiple times, and then called my personal number three times. It was aggressive and intrusive.
Pet Experience:
My cat had a terrible time. The room was stuffy and uncomfortable for pets. The hotel charges nearly 35% of the room rate per day as a pet fee, yet offers no pet-friendly amenities or areas—just a basic room and nothing more. I don’t mind paying extra, but the lack of effort made the charge feel unjustified.
I've stayed at Marriott and Radisson before, and the difference is night and day. They provide excellent service, comfort, and professionalism—everything this hotel lacked.
Despite being one of the most expensive and well-known hotels in Indore, this property failed on nearly every front. If you're looking for a stress-free, well-managed stay, look elsewhere.
