Indianapolis Marriott East

We recently had a two day business stay at this property. Though located in a neighborhood that is in transition, the property itself is quite attractive. Kudos to Marriott for investing in a property in this neighborhood which is located in a declining neighbor. We had a suite in the Tower which was nicely and recently remodeled. However, there were other considerable problems with the property, mostly centered around Customer Service. Three times we requested a hair dryer with no results. The Door lock was almost completely impossible to open and the deadbolt was broken. It took brute strength to open the door and had there been a fire on this floor it could have been a disaster. There was no light source in the main living room except for ambient lighting. Again, numerous requests to Maintenance were not answered. Hotel desk staff were less than courteous and acted in an unprofessional manner when approached. With the right Management in place this property could be a place we could recommend but under current circumstances, we cannot.

As we transitioned from VA to IL, we made a stop in this hotel for one night, and glad that we were able to do so. This hotel recognized our elite status and generously upgraded us to one of their renovated presidential suites. Approximately 900 sq. ft., this suite provides the necessary space and comfort necessary to relax and disconnect a bit. Even though the hotel is currently under renovations and were informed of this in advance, there was no issue at tall with noise levels or interruptions throughout the day. Also, there is a great amount of parking spaces surrounding the hotel, so you can park as close as possible to your room to avoid walking long distances across the different hotel buildings. Their concierge lounge was open when we were there and the food options were quite decent and staff attentive to our needs. Located approximately 20 minutes away from Downtown Indianapolis, this hotel still delivers and will be much better after the renovations are completed. For a night stay, conference/event, be closer to the airport, I would highly recommend.

I was here during a convention as a vendor and Jeff was so helpful during Whosyercon! The staff has been very helpful, though the hotel is currently under construction so there was a few snafus, but the charm and helpful staff prevail for an overall a good experience. Thanks!

Jeff Bobbitt is the MAN! The Marriott is always great for the cons I attend in Naptown, and Jeff is by far the most helpful staff member I've dealt with in my 8 years of attending various events at this location. And that's saying a lot, as the staff here is among the best out of all the hotels/conference centers I've stayed at for events.
