Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis South

The hotel was spacious and clean. The staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast was convenient and adequate. I enjoyed my stay.

I have always recommended this hotel to everyone just because of the staff has the most amazing customer service until and I had the opportunity to speak with a general manager who is very very unprofessional but to top it all off the head housekeeper Roberto thought it was unacceptable to talk to me like I was beneath him I was trying to get into the side door to retrieve the rest of my belongings to check out he literally said to me and these are his words per Betim for me to shut the **** up or he would call the police on me who talks to someone like that I have given this Holiday Inn so much money I’ll offer the employees when I go out to buy them dinner I just I’m very respectful and for someone to talk to me like that that is so so unacceptable but if that’s the kind of people they want representing their establishment well then obvious they don’t value their customers. I will say one last thing he would not come outside and talk to me like that he hides behind the building the company so he thinks he can talk to people however he wants to and it’s acceptable when he could’ve stepped outside those doors and talk to me like that … and I am happy to give my name it is Michelle Thompson and I wouldn’t stay there ever again!!

This Holiday Inn Express stay was excellent. Every staff member that we encountered was friendly and welcoming. This was especially true with the breakfast team! The lobby and room were both clean and well maintained. I would have no issue staying here again when in the area.

I stayed at this hotel for a cheer competition. The water in my room when off both days and when it came back on it was very little and cold. I called to speak to the manager about a refund and was never called back. I called the Holiday inn group where I was giving points as a sorry for what happened, and they placed a message to the manager. I called the manager of this hotel 6x and was never given a call back. the manager informed the Holiday inn group that since they gave me points, he would not give me a refund. I never asked for points, I ONLY ASKED FOR A REFUND. The manger never called to discuss this with me he only messaged the Holiday inn group to let them know he was not giving me a refund. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!

My adult daughter and I were going to GenCon, and we stayed for several nights. When I booked the room, I was told that I could add a cot to the room. When we arrived, the staff told me that I couldn't have one. A strange policy, but I'm supposing this was to cut down on convention goers cramming themselves into single bed rooms? At any rate, we took turns sleeping on the love seat, not great for one's chiropractic health. The kid got the worst of it, as she gave me the bed on the last night to not be sore for the car ride home. I think this became an issue after I booked my Quebec trip, and changed the default bed preferences on the web page. But, the breakfast was good, as it usually is. We enjoyed the city, and loved GenCon.

A wonderful hotel experience, from check-in to checkout. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and spotlessly clean. The breakfast server was Ron, and he went out of his way to insure everyone felt welcome and got everything they desired. He joked that his mission was "to get you to stay another day and have breakfast with us tomorrow". Just the attitude that makes traveling pleasant.

Very friendly staffs at this hotel. Rooms are clean. I’d been in some Holiday Inn Express and not any of the services where excellent as this one. Location is convenient. Between downtown and airport. Thank you for making my experience stupendous here.

My husband booked a king bed with a sleeper sofa. First room had one bed and a little chase lounge too short for my son to sleep on. The front desk person was nice and moved us to a room with a sleeper sofa. The smell in the elevator and near the hall was horrible, it smelled like a septic tank. I almost threw up a few times from the strong fumes. Got back late to room after 10 pm. Went to open sofa and it hit the bed. There was no room to fully open it. Went to get blankets out of the closet there were none. Another trip down to front desk to get the blankets. At this point we are extremely tired. My son had to be at his event by 730am. Showed a picture of how ridiculous the couch looked halfway open since there was no room to fully open it. Also complained about the smell. The person just kind of shrugged it off. Now finally got blankets. Next complaint. I go to use the toilet and almost fall off. It is clearly not bolted on. The next morning, we wake up hoping to have a decent breakfast. Again, we were hit by that horrible smell! Went to breakfast, the coffee was good. Everything else tasted horrible. I asked what the horrible smell was and was told there was a sewage leak at the bottom of the elevator shaft and they have this problem all the time. This room cost 160.00. It was not worth 50.00 as far as I am concerned. This is why I choose Hampton and not Holiday Inn Express. My husband booked this room and was told by our son that he was never allowed to pick the hotel again. Please do yourself a huge favor and find a better hotel!

I stay at a lot of Holiday Inns because I am an IHG member. This was the worst Holiday Inn I've ever stayed at. First, be advised that it is difficult to get into coming from the highway due to it being a divided highway, and now that is compounded by construction as well. When we checked in on a Friday night, it was slam packed with a bus that had just pulled up. This is not the staff's fault, but just stating this as it took forever to get help for any of the issues we had until they finally called in more staff so the poor woman at the desk didn't have to work all of this by herself. I assumed they would at least have a manager also on site at all times? One issue we had is that the hotel had no bottles of water available for purchase. Their little market area where you can "buy things you forget" was almost empty and not at all well-stocked. I've never stayed at an IHG property that had no water for sale. A second issue we had was our A/C and thermostat did not work as we were told. The room was incredibly hot and stuffy when we arrived. The A/C unit had instructions to use the wall thermostat to control the unit. Well the thermostat would not even turn on. This resulted in a long wait in line to talk to the one woman working who said we had to hit something on the AC unit that would then turn on the wall unit. Well we went back and tried that and it did not work as she instructed. We somehow were able to at least get cold air out of the AC unit by pushing buttons on it. The wall thermostat that they said controlled everything never did turn on. Lastly, we found our TV remote had dead batteries. We again went to the front desk and they told us they had no more batteries but here, try this primary remote that works on every TV! We get it back to the room and alas, there are no batteries inside of it. So we had to get up and turn the channel or volume manually on the actual TV every time we wanted to adjust it, which is super inconvenient. How can a major hotel not have extra batteries on hand? Needless to say, I will not ever be staying at this property again.
