hi there. We had an absolutely horrible experience at this hotel and I honestly hope that others do not choose to stay here. The air conditioner did not work, the hotel room smelled of cigarette smoke and was extremely loud due to construction. The second night that we were moved, we found a cockroach in our room and the hotel front desk employee came down and killed the cockroach. You were supposed to be upgraded to a suite, but did not it was a regular room. Overall horrible experience and we will not be going back.

The room was clean and quiet which was a major plus. The downfall was if your hot tea or coffee drinker there is limit access to those in the lobby. The coffee thermos were always empty even during the breakfast. The breakfast has limited supplies also, grateful for the little things now if your a big breakfast person it's on the healthier side.

The rooms are nice and fluffy. The breakfast is hot and healthy and really great. The staff that worked when I was there was really helpful and friendly. The rooms were neat and tidy and stayed clean along with very comfortable to stay in. Amie

The property is clean and staff friendly and helpful.
My concern came up when the door to the room was propped open and trash was still in the room.
I went back to the front desk and The staff came and spent time cleaning in the bathroom though did not see what they had to do. Not sure what i can trust was clean but had to sleep

This place is great! The staff is friendly, and super helpful. The place is extremely clean! And had a great atmosphere. They were decorated for Christmas which made it feel like a more personal experience!!! Will stay here again if I am ever back in Independence!

It was a great little place to stay for the night. We were only in town for less than 24 hours. Painted horse is definitely recommended, a block away and the food is phenomenal. There’s a great arcade 5 blocks away as well with great food and service 😊😊😊

very quiet room. variety for breakfast, but a protein would have been nice. even if just a string cheese. heater smelled. Staff were helpful and friendly.
