Wonderful spot just outside town. Free bus into Banff picks you up from the campground. Means you can leave your RV pitched and have Jake free transport. Peacefu site with mountain views. No water or sani dump at pitches but one on way out of the site. Would have lived to spend longer here.

Park is fine however Park Management need disciplining. The shower block in Village 2 is closed and staff have been instructed not to inform visitors there are showers 200m away in Village 1. Instead they suggest you drive to the hot springs and pay for a wash. Poor form.

The location is great, next to Banff with a (partially) free shuttle to the city center. But in the four weeks we’ve been camping with our RV, this sure is the most disappointing camping spot we’ve ever been on. It feels more like camping on the emergency lane of highway 1. Rows and rows of RV’s parked in line on the asphalt. There’s a nasty draft all the time and it simply looks depressing. It’s a sad spot to end our camper trip. I would definitely not come back to this place.

Nobody comes to Banff to hang out in their camper SO get any expectations out of your head that this is a cozy, small, private campground in the middle of the woods. This campground is essentially a series of wide looping roads in a grid with room for campers to park on both shoulders, left & right. There’s zero space front to back between vehicles. What you will absolutely have is good easy access, quiet, clean bathrooms, kitchen cooking shelters with power & shuttle busses to town. There’s got to be over 1000 campsites in tiny Banff and to my thinking, it’s managed well by the park service. Nearly impossible to get into, we scored a same day electric site mid September via phone call & God’s blessing. The views are astonishing & the interface with nature is immediate just outside the campground. Remember to buy your parks pass so you can get in - it’s required in addition to your reservation. This is a basic & functional place, no frills and quite acceptable. We were thrilled to get in; you cannot boondock in Natl parks nor sleep in parking lots of rest areas.

We had the absolute best time! We booked village 2 as it was the only one available but actually it was the best! The site is very picturesque and being able to have a fire pit was amazing. The services facilities for the RV were very convenient and we coped very well on a non serviced pitch. The Roam shuttle to town is also super convenient. Thanks!!

We visited this site in our motorhome twice in our 3 week trip. Site was very quiet on first visit but very busy for 2nd time as it was a holiday weekend The good Great view from some of the pitches/sites. Friendly efficient welcome. It is outside the town and it is walkable as downhill all the way. Great cheap regular bus service from the site to Banff. People did respect the quiet times. Great trail around the site Not so good No full hookup available only power There are NO showers available the block is being refurbished no indication of when they will be available Only 2 sinks for washing dishes which was totally inadequate and in desperate need of an upgrade

It’s a glorified car park if your looking for somewhere to stay while in Banff it’s an option but it’s expensive has no amenities and the nearest shop is at least a mile away. It’s a neat well kept parking lot I’ll give it that but you genuinely feel like you’ve just our in at the side of the road. I understand it’s to service the busy town but stay here if yiur stuck but it shouldn’t be your go to campsite

A nice site with good showers and an immaculate toilet block. Hook up easy to use. Quiet at night. Beautiful views of the mountains. A good bus service from the campsite to take you into Banff and other places i.e. the Gondola or Lake Louise. Dedicated washing up sink with hot water available if needed. No wifi available - had to go to the excellent local library in Banff to log on.

One of the best campgrounds in Banff. I rated this campground a "3" because the sites are small and (if you have a small RV, you might have to shave the electric post with another RV'er. I give this campground a "5" on close proximity to Tunnel Mountain.
