Beautiful setting and very quiet evening. We are traveling as a family, and my son, who usually doesn’t like taking pictures, sat on the leisure chair at the door of the room and asked me to take a photo for him and send it to Moments, because he really likes the environment here, it’s so beautiful! The continental breakfast is also good and quite rich.

Came here for lunch as part of a tour group. Line moved quickly, there were a variety of entrees. Our entire group which include vegetarians and carnivores, was well pleased. Also nice gift shop with some items we had not see elsewhere. We'd recommend this as a place to stop and have a meal.

The hotel was a comfortable and convenient place to stay on the Columbia Icefields highway. It offered economical room, which was clean ( stayed in Lodge room) and provided a porch in which to enjoy the outdoors. The restaurant was pricey but food was tasty ( prices comparable to Jasper Town). I'd stay again

We stayed for 2 nights about a week before the very unfortunate Jasper wildfire. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We ate at the restaurant for dinner twice, and the food was good, although the menu is limited. The free breakfast was better than most hotel continental breakfasts. Our cabin was sufficient - nothing fancy, but that is what we expected in a national park. Be aware if it’s hot - there is no air conditioning. They provided a table fan, and we kept the windows open, which helped.

It was late 9 pm, to be exactly, I was tired and I saw this place on the road, I parked and my girlfriend went to ask if the restaurant was per friendly, they said yes, but they closed at 9, butttt they can take us if we order really fast, we did it, everything was delicious, and then the server asked us if we are going to stay at the hotel because there was only one room left, the receptionist was so helpful. I worked at the most expensive hotel in Edmonton, and, believe me all the staff at this resort is amazing. Thank you everyone for your kindness.

During my recent 10-day vacation, I stayed at four different budget hotels, and unfortunately, Sunwapta Lodge was the most expensive yet the least satisfactory experience. The room was notably cramped, with minimal space to move around comfortably. The lack of sufficient power outlets made charging devices a challenge, reflecting a lack of consideration for modern traveler needs. Additionally, the hotel employs an outdated system where guests must present a token for breakfast, a practice that feels cumbersome and out of place. Speaking of breakfast, the quality was disappointing, falling short of even basic expectations. The absence of Wi-Fi in rooms is another significant drawback, with connectivity only available in the lobby and restaurant. This indicates a reluctance to invest in necessary infrastructure, such as router extensions, to ensure better coverage. On the positive side, the staff at Sunwapta Lodge were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, which provided a small relief amidst the less-than-ideal facilities. Overall, despite the commendable service, the hotel's shortcomings in comfort, technology, and amenities overshadowed the experience.

I enjoyed my stay here. Rooms were clean and comfortable and bed was very comfortable. All employees were nice and helpful with questions I had. I thought it was very nice of them to walk us to our room and we felt very welcomed and appreciated guests.

The best thing about this place are the staff who are great, really helpful and friendly. Thank you to them. The location is quiet which is nice and close to the falls. However it’s extremely expensive for what are very dated and simple ‘cabins’ which obviously haven’t had any work done on them for decades. From what I understand it’s only open for a few months a year so I appreciate they want/need to make as much as they can during this time but definitely not worth the price. The restaurant was again pretty expensive for basic food.
