I stayed here with a friend from 26th of September to the 28th of September. We were going to a wedding at a hotel nearby so the location was good for what we needed . The guest house is set in a beautiful location . The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens & fields . A lot of walkers stay here & I can see why . When we arrived we were shown to our room (room K) & we had booked a twin room. The room had been made into a double . The young lady asked us to come back downstairs & wait whilst she spoke to the manager . The manager was on the phone so couldn’t help . A quick word to say change the double to a twin was all that was needed . We had to wait & had a complimentary coffee with Welsh cakes which were delicious. Our room was changed & were finally able to unpack . On our booking our room clearly stated a twin room . Housekeeping needs to double check before making up a room . All we wanted to do was unpack & get settled . The room was in keeping with the guest house . It had a real fire place & the furniture was in keeping . The wallpaper was coming away from the walls & the bathroom was small . The room & bathroom was very clean . A comfort tray was provided & water . We had dinner there & the food was very good, so were both breakfasts we had there . The staff were very amiable & accommodating. The lounge area was comfortable & again was very clean . There’s not a lot to do at the guest house , about a mile walk away is a little village & lots of lovely walks . It’s a very quiet , peaceful location. I would recommend this guest house for walkers . If you’re not a walker I’m not sure I would recommend to stay here . I

Booked for afternoon tea for my daughters 30th birthday. Outstanding surroundings, beautiful building. Afternoon tea was amazing, the cheese and leek quiche and the sausage rolls were our favourites. Would definitely recommend, they also accommodated my daughters nut allergy. Will definitely return all the staff we lovely and a credit to this gorgeous place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay here & found that Nicky & her young team of helpers gave an excellent service. Nothing was too much trouble & all done with a cheerful smile. The food ( supper & breakfasts) was generous & delicious - almost too much! Our room, Room 3, was very comfortable, pleasantly decorated with a large double bed & good sized en suite. Yes there was some noise from the kitchen below at around 8 am & from the gravel when the staff came to work but it was a hot weekend so we had the window open anyway. The hotel is set within it's own grounds & not far from the wonderful 3 Cliffs and Oxwich Bays. We will definitely return!

Perfection. This is how a country house should be run. Everything from food, service and decour perfect. Compared to other country house hotels Parc le Breos offers excellent value. We have booked for a pre Christmas break. Which has come in at less than a third of the price of the same dates in a Devon hotel. Go spoil yourself, but dont tell everybody.

Wonderful location, friendly staff. Tempting dinner menu. I say tempting because the dining room is totally closed on Tuesday and they only have a very abbreviated menu for dinner on Monday. We only stayed Monday and Tuesday so we were out of luck and you will be also if you come on those days. Alternative dining options are pretty far away down very narrow roads which I would not want to drive in the dark.

The best breakfast we had in the four hotels in stayed in over 11 days. The laverbread and the Glamorgan sausage was beautiful. We had dinner here on the first night which was the Sunday roast and it was one of the best Sunday recasts I’ve had in a long time. Lovely beef, loads of roast potatoes and parsnips as well as a cauliflower cheese, carrots and broccoli and a huge gravy boat. We also had the lighter meal in the garden room the next night and it was lovely as well. Lovely fish and chips. Grounds are lovely and well cared for. The parking is a few metres from the front door. But it is gravely whihc isn’t great for walkers and wheelchairs. We had room 10 which is on the ground floor, it’s easy to access but not accessible. There is a huge walk in shower you could have had a whole rugby team in it but no handrails and no shower matt and the floor can be a bit slippy when wet. room 10 also has two sets of bunk beds and very limited seating other than the bed. So whilst you can have a whole rugby team in there it would be a bit cramped. If the bunk beds were removed it would be a beautiful room and would give some room for some additional seating. But these are just minor issues. We had a lovely stay here and would defiantly recommend a stay here and the breakfast was something we will remember for years to come.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights whilst we toured around Wales. There is a track from the main road to the hotel which can be quite narrow in places. We had room number 2 which in the face of it was a comfortable room with a good nights sleep each but there was a couple of major problems with it and the neighbouring rooms 1 and 3. Below the rooms is the hotel kitchen and from 6.30am could hear the staff arrive, chatting, general banging but the worst was the noise and smell from the extractor fan. This would last until we left for the day till 10 but on our last day was continuous with the horrid smell of meat and fats permeated to our room. In the evening the noise would start up again around 5pm never finished till 10pm. There was a note in the room information about guests being quiet returning to their rooms but none to suggest the staff needed to limit the noise either. Also our bathroom backed into the neighbouring room so could hear the room next door from there and probably vice versa. On the first night we went down for dinner but there was no one to show us to a table. After 5 minutes we sat at a table and waited…. Another 5 minutes passed until a young waitress came over and asked if she could help us. We gave our names and then told us were sat at the wrong table and asked us to move. We were completely happy with the table we were on and noted no one else sat at that table that evening. Why not just leave us where we were? Dinner was below par. The starters lacked flavour and although my main was okay my wife’s wasn’t. The item was described as Chicken Supreme. Being unfamiliar with the dish she searched online and expected a dish with chicken, garlic, onions in a creamy sauce perhaps with carrots and leeks. What came was a chicken breast coated in a small amount of gravy. I asked the waitress if this was correct and she replied yes. We then asked for more gravy twice as each time a thimble sized amount came back from the kitchen. The plates were cleared away and we wanted desserts but no one came to take our order. After 10 minutes we noted the table next to us had their plates removed and asked if they would like desserts, which they replied yes. After another 10 minutes of waiting their desserts arrived so we then left. At breakfast there was a good selection of items and an array of cooked food for selection. Again it was hot and miss. Be morning we were given milk in a jug that had gone off and had to be returned, another ordered coffee and got tea, ask for no baked beans and got them! All in all we felt that there needed to be more managerial injection particularly to guide the younger staff members in serving. The hotel does plenty of afternoon teas and weddings we noted but they should also pay more attention to those staying longer in the hotels rooms. On check out we were asked if we had enjoyed our stay and we replied with the above shortcomings. There was a humble apology but no adjustment to our dining
