We hadn't been to Ilkley before, but are now pleased that we had, and that we chose the Wheatley Arms. We stayed for three nights, when the weather was very hot. Our room was lovely and, although we were above the bar, at no time did we feel disturbed by the other residents (or drinkers!), even though the bar was very popular, and there were outside tables. Ilkley Moor is on the door step and the hotel has a booklet featuring a number of local walks. Ilkley itself is walkable but was hard going in the heat. Fortunately, there is a railway station within a quarter of a mile of the hotel with frequent and late evening trains to and from the centre of Ilkley. We left our car in the car park for the total length of our stay, but the location is excellent for exploring Wharfedale.

Very good choice of food which catered for everyone ( including teenager snd pensioner with special dietary requirements). The food was excellent, in particular the sea bass. The waiter and manager were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to ensure everyone enjoyed the meal. I have been with family twice recently and on both occasions it was excellent. We will go back.

We had a fantastic stay at the Wheatley Arms in Ilkley. Our deluxe room was stylish and incredibly comfortable-ideal for a night away. The room had USB-A and C charging points, a nespresso coffee machine, coffee bags and flavoured tea, small fridge, robes and slippers. Lots of parking and good wifi. The room was spotless. We enjoyed a delicious evening meal in the restaurant, everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. The pea and mint soup was amazing. The service was really friendly and attentive throughout, creating a really welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast the next morning was just as impressive with lots of choice from the menu. From the cozy setting to the excellent food and comfortable stay, everything was spot on. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.

We have today had lunch at The Wheatley Arms near Ilkley. We have two dogs and we were all made very welcome. Recently refurbished the interior is very stylish. The staff were very friendly, the food was really very good and the price wasn't outrageous. All in all I would recommend a visit if you're in the area and we will most definitely be returning when we are in the area again.
