We visited this boutique resort high up in the hills as a large group that included our parents and kids, aged 14 and 9. We were blown away by the location - I mean, you cannot wake up to anything more beautiful than those stately hills in the background, shrouded in mist. It was enchantingly beautiful and the silence, punctuated only by bird-song, was an almost spiritual experience! We had booked our party of 5 adults and 2 children into 1 Villa and 1 Luxury Room. People traveling in groups should be aware that this place is quite cut off and the facilities, are rather basic. Food was simple but delicious. There isn't a wide variety of dishes on offer but whatever you ask for is made fresh and tasty. Chef Amal and staff member Satish go out of their way to accommodate requests and make your stay pleasant, smoothing over any disappointment you might feel about the sparse rooms and minimal facilities. The Villa, though large, is quite badly designed, with an open shower area and a tub placed practically in the room, which I don't think anyone would feel comfortable using. The Luxury Room was also spacious but again it did not look like the space was well designed. Enjoying cold weather throughout the year, the rooms have no fan or ac and you don't miss it except maybe during the noon time if you happen to be in the room. Word of advice: be aware that this is not your typical luxury resort when you check in and you won't be disappointed. Best suited to young couples or groups of friends, seniors may have difficulty navigating the uneven stone grounds. If you are willing to overlook the minor inconveniences, you cannot ask for a more picturesque setting to relax in.
