I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction and disappointment regarding my recent experience at Elixir Woods Resort, Munnar, on 21 june 2025 I had made a direct booking over the phone and checked in after a long and tiring drive from Trivandrum. Upon arrival, I paid the full amount for a room that was claimed to be part of a 4-star rated property. However, what awaited me was far from the quality and hygiene standards expected of such a rating. Upon freshening up, I went to take a much-needed nap, only to find a long, curly hair under the tucked-in bedsheet — clearly not mine, as I have straightened hair. On further inspection, I was appalled to discover more hair and visible dirt within the bedding. The pillow covers were pale and appeared unchanged from the previous guest’s use, making it obvious that the linens had not been washed or replaced. This was not just unhygienic but extremely distressing after a tiring journey. Despite contacting the front office manager (who was given to me as the point of contact), no immediate action or resolution was offered due to the late hour (~5 PM). The lack of responsiveness further added to the frustration. I was left with no choice but to check out immediately, forfeiting my rest, peace of mind, and plans for the day. Although another room was offered, I had lost trust in the property’s hygiene standards and declined. The entire experience ruined my holiday mood and wasted both my valuable time and money. I hope the management takes this issue seriously. I would also appreciate a response outlining the steps you will take to ensure this does not happen to other guests.
