The Resort is 25 kilometers out of Munnar up a hill and nestled in the forest. There is also some distance from the main gate to the hotel. It is a small new resort, one year old at that time with only 15 rooms but big grounds. Most of them are suites, some small rooms and a room with a Jacuzzi on the 4th floor. Rooms are spacious and clean. There is no storage space except a small cupboard, some rooms have two small drawers. There is an L-shaped Shelf, part of which acts as a writing desk. Rooms may differ a little in design. There is a luggage shelf and a safety box and sufficient water bottles and tea/coffee making facility. The bathroom is of a good size, with a big walk-in shower. The toiletries are limited and are not replenished daily. Again, bathroom design may differ a little. There are only two bath towels, I had to ask for a hand towel. There is one restaurant on the 4th floor (somehow marked as 3 in the lift). Breakfast is moderate with mainly Indian cuisine but with egg varieties. The lobby is medium size with some seating area. The room view is forest and mountain. The view from third floor rooms is best (again marked as 2 in lift), but on top of it is the restaurant, you can hear the moving of chairs. It is not a big deal, especially if you are not an early sleeper. There is a small swimming pool a short walk from the hotel, there is also a small gym and games room in the basement. TV is good with a few English news and movies channels, but there was a problem with most of them. In spite of being new, there are already some minor maintenance issues with the room and bathrooms. Being nestled in a forest, expect some occasional flies in the room. The staff may seem to be still adapting to the new hotel operation but are doing a good job and are friendly and very helpful.
