Sprise Munnar Resort and Spa

We spent three nights at the retreat. They offer a family apartment complete with a living room and two bedrooms. Our unit was on the first floor, boasting a lovely forest view from the back terrace. The standout feature of this apartment was the ability to watch the sunrise from the back terrace and the sunset from the front one. Each morning, my wife and I settled on the back terrace for meditation and pranayama. The air was crisp and clean, with an AQI of about 30—worlds apart from Delhi’s 500. The bedrooms were generously sized, and the living room came furnished with loungers and a sofa. The pressure shower was impressive. On the downside, the resort lacked hot water at the washbasin, where the flow was barely a trickle, making brushing teeth and shaving a challenge. There was no liquid soap either. I couldn’t tell if this was intentional or an oversight. Their culinary offerings shone with delicious lasooni moong dal and chilli paneer, and the breakfast selection was satisfying. The restaurant manager was genuinely excellent. We also enjoyed a spa session, which was relaxing, and their laundry service proved reliable. The reception staff, however, could use more training. Of the three we encountered, only Alex was helpful, providing us with useful details about Munnar and even a printed list of sights to explore. The other two fell short. Still, all in all, our stay was quite enjoyable.

I recently stayed at the Sprise Munnar Resort and had a truly delightful experience. Nestled in a superb location, the resort offers picturesque views of lush greenery and rolling hills that instantly soothe the soul. If you’re seeking a peaceful and quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place to be. The resort is new and was built two years ago. The swimming pool is not very big but has a special area for young swimmers. The spacious, calm grounds of the resort make it feel like a hidden paradise. Whether strolling through the well-maintained gardens or relaxing on the balcony, the tranquility here is unmatched. The staff deserves special praise polite, attentive, and always willing to help. They went above and beyond to arrange a taxi for my sightseeing adventures and even ensured a smooth transfer to my next hotel. The restaurant served delicious meals with a great variety of local and Indian dishes. That said, the breakfast could use a little more diversity to cater to Western tastes. Still, the flavors were on point overall. For the price , this resort is a steal. You get excellent value for the serene ambiance, spacious accommodations, and top-notch service. Munnar is known as “Kashmir of South India” and the “Switzerland of India”. If you’re planning a trip to Munnar and want a relaxing stay surrounded by natural beauty, I highly recommend Sprise Munnar Resort.

Well appointed rooms. Comfortable beds and lovely en suite. Stunning views. Restaurant meals and breakfast were very good. Menu was not large and several items not available. Excellent hotel for a short restful break. You will need a car as the hotel is very remote. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Grounds and swimming pool are well cared for.

Great resort to have break with family, good service and new facilities. We spend three night and family and enjoy the place in the middle of the forest and the mountains. Recommend very well to couple. Overall Room is clean and with big space

Really lovely staff at Sprise Munnar. We had a few problems on the first day but the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are great, with the interconnecting living room perfect for a family stay. Good size rooms with a nice view. Breakfast is buffet style and lots to choose from, plus they make omelettes to order. The spa lady was fantastic, had an amazing night of sleep after my massage. Rangaraj at reception was really helpful in all aspects, making sure we were okay and that things ran smoothly. And Saly who oversaw housekeeping was so sweet and courteous. Overall, I'd recommend Sprise as a nice base for exploring Munnar.
