Just back from 7 nights in Oylum Garden which is in a great location in the centre of Içmeler. Hotel was lovely; rooms exceptionally clean and spacious. Although most staff do not speak English, they worked hard and were pleasant. Rose the owner/manager was fantastic during our stay; nothing was too much trouble and it felt like ‘home from home’. As a lone traveller I felt very safe which means a lot. I can’t wait to return (already booked) and can highly recommend.

Well having booked the Mersoy all inclusive for my break away with friends then read the reviews I SOON CANCELLED IT. I was offered this little GEM 😀 I found everything just right in Olyum the staff was fantastic friendly warm inviting and looked after you very very well Rose and family have the hospitality just right lovely and CLEAN food very well presented and tasty no hassle what so ever to stay in and eat but you just want too. Rooms plenty of room so clean beds changed towels changed. No fault at all. REGULARS COME BACK EVERY YEAR A great FAMILY run B n B My friends were staying in the Dilhan next door they came over every day and so did most of the other guests come over every day to stay in the pool area to eat and drink in the Olyum So that says a lot about this LITTLE GEM... Family run hotel, no pressure to spend time at the pool/buy drinks etc. We had rooms on the top floor so sloping ceilings but not a major issue and the rooms were a good size. Cleaned every day. Friends had problem with shower pressure but it was fine for me. Turkish breakfast served between 8-10. Fairly basic hotel but for the price it was well worth it. We would definitely return.

A beautiful gem of a find when we visited this Turkish family run hotel this September. We didn't want to leave as we were welcomed with open arms and was really really well looked after. The rooms are comfortable and you can pay a small additional amount to have air conditioning. There was also a safety deposit box if you wanted but we didn't opt for this I believe there's also a small charge for that too. The pool area and bar area were lovely and relaxing. Breakfast was lovely a traditional Turkish style breakfast that you could enjoy between the hours of 8am and 10am With plenty of coffee or tea always available to wash your breakfast down. The hotels location is in a very good area within a minutes walk to bars supermarkets restaurants etc. Only a 5 minute walk to the beach too. The staff were all very hard working and the place always looked spotless. Well done to all the team at Oylem Garden. Rose the owner / manger from the hotel was amazing and catered for our every need she is one very special lady and she works so hard and she always made time to engage with all of her guests and would go out of her way to keep everyone happy. If I could suggest a way to make it even better it would be to have a menu with pictures on for drinks and food that are available either on the bar or on the tables with the prices shown too as there was a slight language barrier ordering any drinks or food. We met several guests that had been revisiting this hotel for many years and I can totally understand why as the service was second to none. Looking forward to our visit again next year Thanks again All the best Dave and Claire from Chesterfield Derbyshire We can't wait to return next year and are already looking to book.

We loved that this was a quiet little hotel right in the middle of Icmeler, just yards from restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. A nice 5 minute walk by the canal to the seafront. Mostly couples and families with older children, it was very chilled. The bar played music all day, quiet background rather than blasting out. The pool was fantastic with enough sunloungers for everyone. Lots of trees and birds tweeting, you would not believe you were in a built up area!

Perfect location to the beach / bars etc and not noisy considering the proximity to the Wonderbar. Staff were all so helpful and friendly. Rosa and her family can't do enough for you. Rooms were spacious and immaculate - cleaning staff did a fab job. Air Con £7 per night. We had one of the larger rooms with 1 double / 1 single and new sofa bed. Breakfast improved by the end of the week with cereal / borek being introduced. Has had improvements from last year - New covered bar / eating area / Poolside TV. Rosa offers to order takeaway from local kitchen and also happy to make sandwiches / toasties. Relaxing and very safe - like staying with family. I would highly recommend.

The first couple of days went OK. Cosy and family like, then it started going a little down hill. Very Fast! The Breakfast really is the most basic 'Turkish Breakfast' going. I didn't bother going for breakfast on quite a few mornings. I just slept my meds off, whilst my partner went for his. We bought cereal and milk from the supermarket! And cups to eat it out of. There was no 'Do Not Disturb'/'Please Clean My Room' sign for the door. This I felt was very strange. But I didn't give it much notice, until 1 day someone knocked on the door! I'd just been in the bathroom, right next to it, I opened it, and this old guy said 'Wrong Room'! My partner wasn't in the room, and I felt incredibly frightened. I'd seen him before, and new he was something to do with the hotel. But I was incredibly scared. Now It turns out, that groups of people not staying in the hotel, are allowed to come in, use the loungers, pool etc. Considering the hotel isn't big, it was obvious that they must buy drinks for use of the garden! Apparently many hotels around there, and I have to admit, it spoilt it. But it heightened my worry about security. Our room was literally climbable via the balcony. One day one of the hotels guys was wrapping the glasses up and packing them in boxes. It's like as thought they just wanted the season to finish. But we still had at least 9 nights left. Sometimes we'd stay in our room in the morning, because taking so many meds, sometimes they take a long time to wear off. The beds weren't the best. The sheet was to small on the 3ft one, and couldn't be tucked in. And the blanket was so very rough. The curtains weren't blackout curtains, and to make matters worse, didn't cover each end of the windows! And one of the panes of glass leading to the balcony was actually smashed! The toilet was missing the push button on the top. The shower room needed to be power washed and scrubbed. It was so dirty. The bathroom needed a 'deep clean'. Including the paintwork! It was 'manky'! I used towels on the floor of the shower! We'd go out and come back to a room which had been cleaned, and rearranged. I hate wasting time on hanging clothes! I just grab and go. So it felt a little uncomfortable! Especially the pillow situation. But it started getting worse. Two knocks at the door, and the old man was in. Didn't give us time to say anything, or get to the door. Anything could be happening behind our door, and he was in! One day the manager said that we'd 'had an early night before'! I mean what the heck. Spied on. One night, we met up with my partners workmates, and we sat talking until late. A guy was asleep on a chair in the little reception area. My father didn't do that when I was out drinking in my younger days. One afternoon there were about 15 youngsters in the garden area. We had just wanted a quiet swim. They were screaming, kicking footballs everywhere, incluing into the pool. Which wasn't fun when you are trying to swim or float! .An
