I decided to stay at this hotel as soon as I saw the photos, and I was not disappointed. The lobby lounge faces the pine forest and the sea, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery while waiting to check in. Although the room is not very large, the furniture and furnishings are more exquisite than other places, and there are fresh flower arrangements, which makes people feel happy. The dining part is a little deducted. I was looking forward to the 8,800 yen dinner, but it turned out to be the most mediocre meal of this trip. The dipping sauce for the beef shabu-shabu is sour, which may be a local specialty, but I really can't get used to it. It's a pity for such good beef. Let me start with the conclusion: the hotel is good, but trip.com is bad.
I booked a non-smoking room, but trip.com reported that the hotel had a smoking room. When I checked in, I found that the room smelled very heavy of smoke, so I discussed it with the hotel. At that time, the hotel showed me that the reservation document from trip.com showed a smoking room, which was exactly the opposite of the screenshot of my reservation for a non-smoking room.
The hotel also said that there were no similar non-smoking rooms available and they could only give me a larger double room.
I don't want to take advantage of this. It's obviously trip.com's fault, but the hotel has to bear it. Therefore, I wrote down the experience truthfully. I don’t know whether this review will be published, because I didn’t reply to the online conversation on trip.com at that time, so it was left alone.
Once again, the hotel is very good, but please think carefully about whether you need to book through trip.com.

The room can look out to the sea. I chose one park for two meals. The hotel has hot springs and sand baths. For the sea, there were not many tourists in the hotel that day, but the Japanese traveled a lot in the country, and they could dominate the hot springs at night.

The public area on the first floor is also very small. There is only a foot bathing pool. The location of the hotel is a bit remote, it takes 10 minutes to get off the bus from the bus station.
The facilities and cleanliness of the hotel are acceptable, and the dinner is quite rich.
The only thing is that the front desk swapped my double room with my friend's single room. I had to negotiate many times to get an extra set of towels and bathrobes, which is a point deduction.

Really couldn't be better. We booked a sea view room for 3 people with meals. When we went there, the boss saw that we were two adults and one child, and immediately thought of a way to refund the extra fee (1,500 yen for children). The typical Japanese hot spring hotel is very Japanese style. His house is just opposite the sand hall. It is very convenient to eat. The hotel has its own hot spring soup, one indoor, one outdoor, separate for men and women. The next morning we had to take the 8:08 train to leave. The station that the boss personally took us to was really warm and recommended. I personally think it is much better than Baishui Pavilion.

I first chose this hot spring hotel because it was close to the Sand Sand Hall so I could try Ibusuki's famous black sand bath. But it turns out that this hotel is also quite comfortable. 家から徒歩30秒の海は遊泳禁止なので水着は不要でしたが、徒歩5分の川尻港でさびき釣りができます。気軽に行けるので4回行きました。豆鯵を釣るなら足を伸ばして山川港がおすすめです。
ほぼ自炊でしたが、不自由することはほとんどありませんでした。みりん、醤油、料理酒は持参しました（煮物煮魚用。鹿児島の醤油は甘いです）次回は計量スプーン、タッパーとお酢（鯵の南蛮漬けや有機野菜用）を持っていきます。お茶碗はありませんが、子供用の平皿やコップもあります。洗濯機も完備でハンガー（大人のみ）、タオルやシャンプー類も充実しているのでアメニティも心配ありません。
自宅のような住み心地と、困ったらいつでも相談できる安心感の中、雄大な山と海、星を眺め、自然の中で「暮らすように旅する」という、子供はもちろん大人にとっても素晴らしい経験でした。近くの開聞山麓自然公園第一駐車場からの眺めをぜひ見てほしいです。鰹節や黒豚牛、魚はもちろん、お洒落なカフェや豆腐屋など食も魅力です。天の川と蛍が見られました。季節を変えて、また伺います。

As a hot spring hotel, the equipment is relatively general, the sea view is good and beautiful, and the dinner is better, but the service is average. I went to ask the jr and bus in the center of Kagoshima the next day. The front desk was not clear. I checked them and told them that I would take us to the bus stop. The whole service was warm, but the news was not complete. Compared with the Wudao Hot Spring, the service is not meticulous.

MMagAt the end of 2017, I was in Kagoshima for the penultimate New Year's Eve. I stayed at the Ishisu Phoenix Hotel for one night and felt very comfortable. I reappeared again a few years later. The appearance and facilities of the hotel have experienced wind and frost, a bit old, but the hotel's service is still thoughtful and intimate. The whole family likes the hot sand bath and hot springs here. The dinner for one berth and two meals is ordinary Japanese cuisine and tastes good. I hope I have the opportunity to come to the Phoenix Resort next time.

RRomanGreat place. There is a nice cafe on the second floor. The sand springs are nearby. The room is tiny but cozy. There is a bathtub. It’s a classical Japanese styled room. There is water in the fridge. Also, if you need to buy something, there is a drug store nearby.
If you decide whether to stay there or not hope it helps. The only disadvantage is that you need to walk around 20 min from the station.
