This aparthotel is in a great location. Beach on doorstep and 15 mins walk to the old town. The rooms are clean and well equipped with everything you would need. The shower is amazing with great pressure. If you’re a light sleeper in any way, don’t stay here as the walls are paper thin. You can hear the toilet flushing in the room above and furniture moving from rooms beside and above. There is also a large space under the room door so you can hear a whisper when people are passing by on the corridor.

We had 2 nights here on way to Formentera. We had a seaview room with a balcony which was amazing. Almost on the beach, fantastic views. We didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on the food. Staff were friendly and rooms were spotless. Perfectly situated for restaurants and bars and some very good bakery/ cafes where we got breakfast just a couple of roads away. A 15 min walk away from centre and the castle, so perfect! Given hotel a 4* rather than a 5* as it is a little tired and worn in places but would definitely stay here again.

This was my fifth stay in eight years at the usually brilliant Simbad. The staff are all lovely, particularly restaurant staff and cleaners. The breakfast buffet is extensive, the rooms are comfortable, the hotel is modern and clean and the view is incredible. We have kept coming back - including a visit with 15 friends last year for a special birthday - because everything has always been great. Until now. It’s no exaggeration to say our holiday was ruined this year and we will think twice about returning again. The only issue is the bizarre pool policy that seems to allow countless non-residents to use the facility whenever they wish, despite a sign saying the pool area is exclusively for the use of guests only. What should be an oasis of calm and restfulness looking out over the beautiful Talamanca bay is now ruined by scores of people who aren’t staying at the hotel using the pool. In a response to another review complaining about this, the hotel director replied seeming to imply there’s nothing they can do about it as the pool is on public land. Maybe something there is lost in translation - I don’t see why someone couldn’t operate an entrance gate to control numbers and noise. The problem was bad during the day while we were there, but particularly awful during the afternoon/evening from about 4-8pm. The pool used to close at 6pm, which seemed odd but maybe this helped, as it’s now open well past 8pm. I appreciate this complaint may sound petty or entitled, but I simply think that the pool should be for the use of residents only, in line with any other hotel I’ve stayed in all over the world. Unfortunately the current situation sees people turning up in droves, failing to use the showers and jumping straight in the pool. I twice saw babies with their nappies being taken off on sun loungers then put into swimming attire without swim nappies, then going straight into the pool. The noise level from children screaming, shouting and repeatedly jumping into the pool is totally unacceptable and not only punctuates the calm around the pool area but also across the front of the whole hotel, including the lovely bar and balconies. The pool area capacity is stated as 40 - yesterday evening I counted 32 non residents, the day before there was 22 children in the pool. You can see from the website it’s a very small pool area. At one point this meant there wasn’t enough loungers for residents and being around the pool was akin to being at a kids club throughout the evening. This isn’t the usual and understandable sound of a few children playing in a swimming pool on holiday, it’s like a whole classroom of children all set loose at the same time There was even a visible divide with residents at one end of the area, as far away from the noise as possible, and everyone else at the other end. We have just returned from a week holiday at this hotel as a couple with a young 7 month old baby. The hotel is lovely and we really liked the pool and outside bar area. There were plenty of sun-beds and never too busy which was great for our little girl to have a crawl around. The drinks were good but on the pricey side when compared to other places close by. I would say the clientele was mainly couples but with a young baby it was a really great hotel. All the staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. I see on previous reviews about rude members of staff but we had the opposite experience and found all the staff lovely! The hotel is in a great location right on the marina with a number of bars and restaurants very close by. We also walked to the beach one day which was a nice cove if you turn left out the hotel you can walk along a coastal path to a bit of a quieter beach which was lovely. We had a sea view room which was nice- slightly small with the travel cot up but plenty of room for what we needed. Breakfast was nice with lots of selection- previous reviews have said about the breakfast being cold but we didn’t have this problem. Can’t comment on food in the evening as we stayed in bed and breakfast basis and went out for evening meals to the plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Overall we would recommend this hotel and thank all the staff for a lovely first holiday away with our baby :-)

2nd stay here in this beautiful hotel. We booked direct with free cancellation. Upgraded to a huge suite when we arrived with separate lounge 2 terraces! What an amazing treat! Also came back after day of relaxing by the pool to a bottle of cava and a note to say thank you for returning! Really appreciate theses perks, makes it feel special. The actual hotel is beautiful, no kids which makes it such a calm quiet retreat. The pool on roof amazing. No rush for a sunbed, always a bed or cabana available whatever time you get up there. Breakfast is so delicious and the choice is out of this works, we would sit for a good hour and leisurely enjoy the food and ambiance. Beds are huge and very comfortable views in all rooms are sea view. The staff here are so attentive but not overbearing. Will help with anything from bits needed for room to restaurant recommendations. Lovely happy helpful people. I really cant wait to return, hopefully in September! I booked 4 nights at the Melia to chill and relax. Prior to arrival i emailed and asked if the Junior Suites (only a small price to upgrade when booking hence choosing this category) were all on higher floors but got no response to this question, a bland 'your requests have been noted' even though I did not make a request was emailed back! On checking in late evening I queried the allocated room number starting with a zero and was told it wasn't ground floor but one and half up. Mmm, it was on the first floor up 9 steps with no lift access. I wasn't asked if I was ok with no lift access. The room was lovely, modern style, well equipped, Rituals toiletries, beautiful bedlinen. I had views of sunrise which were stunning. The bed was unfortunately like sleeping on concrete but after speaking to reception a mattress topper was added which improved the comfort. There were no bathrobes/slippers in the room which I thought was just an oversight. Again I spoke to reception and they said you had to request them?? Bizarre as Jet2 advertise the room as having bathrobe and slippers. It was advertised as a Junior Suite, these should have been placed in the room prior to arrival in my opinion. Whilst there is a double locking system on the bedroom doors there is no security chain or peep hole. The location of the hotel is excellent, around 10/15 minutes walk to the main area in Santa Eulalia. Much improvement could be made around the food offering. All quite basic and limited. Even the croissants at breakfast didn't feel fresh. Only fruit juice available was orange. In the evening I noticed there was no ice cream choice (basic) and when I asked I was told that strawberry and chocolate were available. Ok could I have that please. My request arrived and I didn't recognise the chocolate serving. The taste was very unusual and not recognisable. I enquired with staff and was told there was no chocolate so they gave me this which I was told was coffee and something else.....I found this unacceptable. It was put in front of me with no communication or explanation and not what I ordered. I asked to speak to the manager but their apologies and goodwill gesture of refunding my bottle of water was conveyed to me by the lovely staff member. On more than one occasion there was only one waiting member of staff who worked constantly clearing tables, fixing the broken coffee machine etc. I had two wonderful treatments at the Thai Spa within the hotel. Both were given to me by Marlin who was excellent. The public areas are well kept and I loved the modern style of the hotel (perhaps with the exception of the bright yellow sculpture in reception but that's personal choice). In summary I hope Melia improve this hotel, it has a fab location, wonderful staff, excellent rooms, just some areas needing attention and improved communication.

His attention to detail and warm demeanor made every interaction at the bar a memorable one. Bruno's passion for his craft truly shines through. Soraya and Bea were equally amazing. Their attentiveness and genuine care for the guests were truly heartwarming. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, providing insightful recommendations and always greeting me with a smile. The hostel itself is a haven of cleanliness. The housekeeping ladies are like fairy godmothers, tending to the rooms with an unparalleled level of precision. Walking into my room felt like stepping into a sanctuary, thanks to their meticulous work. Overall, my experience at this hostel was nothing short of exceptional. The dedication of the staff, including Bruno, Soraya, and Bea, combined with the meticulous housekeeping, created an atmosphere of warmth and comfort that made my stay truly memorable. This hotel is in the perfect location, if you’re looking for a beach experience, it has its own private entrance to the beach, the rooms were spacious and cleaned everyday thoroughly. Definitely encourage one to add the breakfast and dinner option to their bookings, as they have a large variety of dishes to pick from, buffet style, and they change the menu intermittently. Would definitely stay again

The best hotel i have ever stayed. Choose all-inclusive option. The pool is spacious and the hotel ambiance is rather chill and relaxing, which I really liked. The staffs are very attentive. There's a drinking water station/purifier at every floor and you can refill the water bottle - this was the best part of the stay. Had an amazing time!! Highly recommended.
