Family-friendly Hotels in Hvammstangi

This hotel seems to be operated by an old lady. After 8:00 in the evening, it is self-serviced into the hotel. In fact, it is still very good. The room is clean and tidy. The quality of nearby guests is high. The disadvantage is breakfast. It has an automatic coffee machine that is very convenient.

Cabins were clean and well appointed. Location was great and access was a breeze. We rented two cabins and I had my whole family there. The units had plenty of room for all of us and we felt very safe for our entire stay.

Self check in is very convenient. If you go to the west fjord, it would be nice to stay here. Breakfast is less, toast ham slices. Tea and coffee are always free.

We stayed for one night, breaking up the journey between West Fjords and Akureyri. The homes are located up a hill behind the local swimming pool and if we had stayed for longer we would have used the pool. There are also some cafes and restaurants in the town though we self-catered. The chalet is in a row of similar properties. There is easy parking and there was plenty of space inside for our needs. Some instructions for the induction hob would be helpful as it took us a little while to figure it out. Only one knife for veg prep and overall very minimally equipped. No coffee supplied. Everything was clean and the bedroom was quiet at night. No issues with anything, would recommend to people who are looking for plenty of space and privacy for a short stop. There are opportunities for hikes and horse riding in the area so it would work for a few days of exploring.

Um hostel surpreendente. Não há funcionários para check-in. Quando se chega, é só abrir a porta, seguir até seu quarto e destravar a caixinha com a chave com o código recebido por e-mail. Limpeza perfeita, quartos decentes para 2 pessoas (num beliche), banheiros bons, sala de estar e copa/cozinha bem equipada. Para o nível de preço da Islândia, uma boa opção.
