Quality Inn Huron

I stayed here for the South Dakota State Fair, so prices, of course, are a little higher than other times of the year. I understand. Still, not bad for for fair time-a little over $200. The room was reasonably quiet. I could hear "apartment sounds," like doors closing, but I heard no talking. At night, I heard nothing. The air conditioner was quiet. The fan is on constantly, but it is quiet. This place is a family owned and operated franchise. I met most of the family. Quite delightful people. One thing to be aware of: this is a two story hotel, but there is no elevator. I was on the second floor near the stairs and had no problem bringing my luggage up the stairs, but if you have a problem with stairs, be sure to book a first floor room.

The room was comfortable and clean. The coffee maker did not work however. The breakfast was good. The location is convenient to the areas we needed to go to. The staff was polite and the lobby was clean.

Excellent Service. Very convenient location in a town and surrounding place so many options for restaurant. I will defiantly visit again. Easy and very quick checking and they allowed me to early checking at hotel.

I will also say for this review site the following comments. The staff was great. The amenities were awesome (2 washers and 2 dryers) the food was great foe breakfast, coffee and even other snacks were there to be utilized even after breakfast hours (just ask the staff), rooms were big clean and homey, bed was superb not cheap. The hotel was in a quiet but very good location with big gas station just across the street and awesome "Prime Time" bar and restaurant just across the street. I recommending this hotel to everyone I know. Last but not least...there prices were very reasonable!!! Mr. Vinny, I want to submit a very deserved award for Mr. Todd Wallenstein. I also want to thank you and commend you on operating your hotel in a superb manner. Your amenities at your hotel were awesome. In my opinion you were better than the Crossroads Convention Center. I stayed at your hotel for only one night checking in on 1 Sep 2022. You checked me in and then I met Todd that evening when he came in for his shift. Ok let’s talk about Todd your awesome employee. The moment I met Todd I liked him. He had a very outgoing and caring way about him. He was very dedicated and took his job seriously. I drink a lot of coffee and therefore came to the lobby area quite often. Todd and I had many cordial conversations about numerous topics. He made me laugh and I made him laugh. He was definitely a high light in my enjoyment of staying at your hotel. Now moving on to Todd’s well-deserved award. I am retired Army and now I own and operate a very successful Tree Service Company in Georgia. I learned a lot of meaningful things during my 21 years in the Army. The principals of leadership I learned in the Army also apply to any business outside of the Army too. Todd deserves a very substantial award for several reasons. Because of his personality (alone) I will stay at your hotel again. Because of these following reasons I will not only stay at your hotel again but I will also tell other people to stay at your hotel. These reasons are as follows: 1. His caring going out of his way to ensure the guest’s needs are taken care of promptly and to full satisfaction. 2. His awesome/likable personality. 3. His knowledge of the surrounding area (businesses/restaurants etc) near your hotel. 4. His attention to detail. 5. His positive attitude. 6. His demeanor. Mr. Vinny for those reasons (and more) I feel it is my duty to ensure we (as a team here) award Mr. Todd in a very meaningful way and not just a “Good job Todd” and pat on the back. Todd went out of his way to take care of you Mr. Vinny. He also took care of the bigger picture namely Quality Inn Hotel Corp. The Army taught us this very important principal which applies to any sucessful business owner. It is “YOU are ONLY as good as your PEOPLE are!!!”.

The rooms are very nice, the staff is great, very polite and available to serve well, but what stood out for me was the cleaning of the rooms. Impeccable. Sure the best place to stay in the city. One thing that should improve is the breakfast, as there are limited options.
