Very nice experience at the Holiday Inn Express in Bad Axe. My number on concern is always is the hotel maintained well and clean, and it was and everything was very clean. All service was very friendly and accommodating. Bed was comfortable. No weird smell in the room. Good shower. Nice black-out shades. Pool and hot tub was very nice. Breakfast was typical HI Express breakfast and was good and well supplied. Woman working there was friendly and hard working. Having hot coffee and hot water for tea available throughout the day was also appreciated. I would definitely stay here again. If I had to make one suggestion it would be to swap put the light bulbs in the dining area with ones with a warmer color temperature. The cool white light color was not very inviting or appetizing.

The room was not thoroughly cleaned. There was grime on the bathroom sink built up in the corners. The duvet came out of the duvet cover revealing red and yellow stains. The overhead light at the entrance of the room was full of bugs. We would have left but could not get a refund

Nice, clean, quiet, comfortable hotel. Breakfast options were plenty, hot tub and pool had adult only hours.

Terrible staff, rooms weren’t cleaned properly, there was a moldy smell coming from the bathroom. Entrance was not salted and ended up slipping. The manager never apologized or contacted me at all. Worst hotel ever, I do not recommend staying there.
