Children have always liked Nubia Hotel. This is the third time I stayed at the hotel, but now it has changed its name. The water park is fun, but the price is expensive and the food is not as good as before.

A resort hotel does not provide toothbrushes, toothpaste and slippers. We tipped the waiter to get a toothbrush and told us to buy one at the store. I wanted to take the tip back instantly. The toiletries were rubbish. The shampoo and shower gel were not as good as those in domestic rubbish hotels that cost dozens of dollars. There was no conditioner or body lotion. The hot water was sometimes hot and sometimes cold. There was only cold water in the morning. The hotel's swimming pool was also very dirty, turbid and full of floating objects. When checking out, the waiter asked to check the room. His attitude was very bad. My colleague took a photo at the front desk and was asked to delete it. The hotel is in a practical location in that it is very convenient for further trips to Cairo/Giza because you are the last to be picked up and the first to be brought back. This saves time and makes the trips more pleasant. The hotel is also conveniently located for trips to see the dolphins or diving trips. In the immediate vicinity to the north there is no adjacent hotel, which means more peace and quiet and an extra wild beach with corals. The bazaar in the city is about 12 km on a relatively straight route. One way by taxi costs 150 LA or 3 euros. It is probably cheaper, but I thought the price was good. (Prices should be agreed upon for all passengers before boarding.) The beach and piers to the excursion boats are good. A beautiful, mostly well-kept hotel and the rooms, at least the ones we got here, were also very large and well equipped. The aqua park (actually the reason why we booked this hotel) was not included, however. We had to pay extra for that (not cheap). Maybe this should be found out in advance and communicated more clearly, because for some people with hotel bookings this was included and for others it was not.

Loved every moment food was plentiful and we really enjoyed the beach restaurant BBQs at lunchtime. What we enjoyed the most was the decking off the beach over the sea with sun loungers. Staff all friendly. Feel totally relaxed after a week away

Warning, This is going to be a big review. But please take the time to read if you've already booked or considering to do so. I promise to be completely honest and tell you everything i feel you need to know. First off, I have given El Karma 5 stars which tells you this is a happy story for the majority, which it is. It could of been 4* for one reason, but i will get to that. This was a great stay for me and i feel for the positives a 5 star is justified. So i decided to go on a solo adventure to Egypt. I wanted to do various excursions and booked this via holiday gems, so transfers flights and hotel was sold as a bundle. I booked before reading the reviews, so you can imagine my terror after handing over my hard earned money, that not everyone has had the best time. Having worked in hospitality for over 10 years, i know reviews can be harsh, or exaggerated. So i knew to take on board comments, but not give in to them completely. I arrived very late, Monday the 7th of october and was greeted by a man at reception, I dont have names sadly, but i had the impression they were a manager, and after a long days traveling i received the warmest of welcomes. Another member of staff helped me with my cases and i checked into my pool view room. Room: 2534 - The room was HUGE!!! with a fantastic view. Bed comfy (two provided), Clean, and i could tell it had just been decorated. A welcome Guide, Water and an invitation to have some dinner if i wished to do so. Coffee tea, toiletries, hairdryer, safe, endless storage for clothes, TV, Flat screen tv, Room Service phone and the COLDEST air con i have ever experianced, this was a HUGE PLUS for me! Throughout my stay i met many staff, i kick myself for not getting names but everyone was just fantastic. A special mention to the guys on the terrace bar, the restaurant staff and the cleaner who attended my room for the week i was there. I found myself pinching myself, was this really the same hotel i seen online? Everything was great, it was such a pleasant surprise. Thursday i headed to cairo on an excursion, the rest of the week i stayed at the hotel to relax as i dont get away very often. Temperatures still hitting 30-35 even in october so very warm. THE FOOD....here we go, so i found the food fine!!! But let me be honest, im not a fussy eater, and when i find things i like, i dont mind having it a few times in the space of a week. I completely understand how some people wouldnt like this, and i get that, but i feel the criticism is very harsh. Pastas, currys, salad bars, a massive delivious desert counter, all meat perfectly cooked. Was this London Restaurant food, no. Was this absolutely fine for a bargain all inclusive, yes. So dont panic! Drinks okay, Yes no brands, i found most of the stock was "El Karma" labelled. But it does the job. Again people. Just relax, its your holiday, If your expecting grey goose, this isnt for you sadly. All in all, a great stay. Lovely beach. Nice Pools, Food and drin

Stayed in the hotel four nights, it seems that they just renovated the place and the place was not cleaned after the construction work. Upon checking is, we found dead bugs in the room, there were mice in the room, we saw 2 mice in two different days. We asked the stuff to come and catch them and remove them from the room. The room had paint everywhere, on the doors, on the furniture. The doors of the furniture was broken, the shower didn't function properly -it had boiling water and almost no cold water at all, we had to turn off the heater in order to take a shower. The inside of the pool was dirty, you could see the dark line just above the water on the swimming pool's sidewalls. The restaurant had terrible food and most of us (3 people of 4) ended up with diarrhea and being sick, laying in the room a great part of the vacation.

Beautiful hotel, bedrooms are lovely and the water park is great fun, most staff are a credit to the hotel, food unfortunately was terrible with not much option and definitely not designed for the British palette, we were given no list of restaurants opening times etc so had to guess what opened when..

AVOID AVOID AVOID Absolutely disgusting , avoid at all costs . May aswell go self catering food and alcohol at diabolical staff are rude and harassing, pools are filthy, these pictures do not reflex this hotel photo shopped Worst holiday ever

We are gratefull all hotel employees for help and make our holidays nice and relaxing. We arę very gratefull Nr. A.Allah Hamdy for making us smiling when coming to room, always clean and in perfect position puting our cloths , shoes and sth extra. For childrens It is the best choince, Aqua park and additional activities for childrens give adults time for rest and relax on the sun. Swimming pools are clean and always available. Food is always toasty and nicely presented, You can find sth what prefered, and artistic food presentation. Of course You need give your stomach time and eat carefully, IT helps not be sick. Summarize we will back to El Karma if we decide to come back Egipt. Remember It is Africa and three is some not written rules, if You know them and follow, your time on Egipt will be nice and relax.

This hotel is not worth 1 star, let alone a 5, majority of staff are miserable, and asking for any small thing is an inconvenience, food is terrible, it’s only pasta an tomato sauce majority, the chef couldn’t even cook a pizza without it becoming stuck to the tray, which happened time and time again, drinks are terrible also, sprites are not touchable, tasting like paint thinner (sprite) , beer is served out of a bottle, which wouldn’t be to bad, but you would always get the end of the bottle and it was a warm bottle of beer to begin with, so meant couldn’t eat or drink any of the all inclusive, I read reviews prior to arrival, but still went ahead because don’t read too much into reviews as you can’t please everyone, but honestly I wouldn’t waste your time, I’ve still got a week here and debating wether to change hotels, only thing is it would cost another £900 to stay somewhere else, hadn’t had any drink all day, then in the evening to simply ask for some ice, to which the barman replied he didn’t have any and that’s life, bad attitude to staff alike, it’s really not worth booking this hotel, you wouldn’t not use the all inclusive facilities as they are terrible, spend your money elsewhere, there are so many other hotels that are great. Also spa, and various other staff who was selling things didn’t leave you alone, and when they eventually did, you’d either of had bought something or you have had to tell them to go away with frustration, it’s the only time they left you alone.

We will never ever go to this hotel again! Do NOT take teenage children (girls) as quite a lot of the staff thought it was ok to touch her inappropriately and when we complained it seemed like a joke to them. We were stalked around the hotel daily and when you are there for 2 weeks it just spoils everything. The food was horrendous and very difficult to find out if it was cooked properly. We did find out soon enough when we both ended up at the doctor with food poisoning so ended up with numerous tablets, injections etc. The beds were not clean at all with stains on the pillows and mattress. After a few days I had a mass of bites which were bed bugs…itching like mad!! The rooms had obviously been painted with more paint on the furniture and floor rather than the walls? The entertainment was soooo boring and didn’t change much at all in 2 weeks. The staff from the shops outside the hotel were so rude if you didn’t go in to look around and certainly if you didn’t buy! I tried for 10 weeks with Love holidays to get some kind of compensation but after receiving the same response and Bull S… from a robot they said they couldn’t help. Don’t go through ABTA as love holidays are not members!! Surprise surprise.
