Jaz Makadi Saraya Resort Reviews

Just got back from Jaz Makadi Saraya and it was incredible. The service in Egypt is brilliant, with lots of care and attention without it seeming pushy or overbearing. The hotel chain is massive and the resort is practically 10 different hotels in 1 so it seemed really safe with only tourists around and easy walks to everythng like the restaraunts and the beach. The whole resort was so well looked after with workers everyday outside in baking hot weather pruning and tidying the very pretty landscape. Both pools were kept at a good temperature, it did help it was 38 degrees when we were there. We prefer the quiteness of the smaller as it never got too busy but both were clean and big enough. The beach was nice, lots of sunbeds for all hotels and nice sandy bits, the sea was full of fish and a small coral reef protected the swimming area. We highly recommend booking a semi submarine cruise trip for a snorkel further out! Makadi Bay is about 40 mins away from Hurghada with a lot less to offer for activities but everything seems much higher quality and it's only a few pounds to get a transport back into Hurghada. Food wise it's all very good with a solid selection and lovely desserts with 2 main restaurant serving the same food so it was never hard to get a dinner table, my favourite was the proper freshly cooked pizzas at lunchtime down the beach which there was always loads to go round for everyone. We didn't go to the A La Carte restaurants as we tried arranging it too late and they were all fulled booked so recommend booking it as soon as you can. I'd say the cocktail choice at the pool bars is where the all inclusive package was let down the most with only a small option available however simple spirits and mixers were fine. Our room was huge! We even had a small kitchen and 2 different seating areas, 1 with a tv and sofa and 1 with soft benches. The kitchen and the bathroom wasn't very up to date modern style but would do the job. Our main discomfort was we got 2 single beds pushed together for a double and they slide apart with even the slightly shuffle so not the best for cuddling at night but the duvets and pillows were very comfortable. Finally entertainment, we didn't interact with the team much as we prefer a bit of peace however they were all friendly and we saw a pool show, live singing and live guitar playing so overall very lovely. Recommended to our family instantly and only heard good stories from everyone else at all the resorts!
