A first class few days at the George Hotel, in Huntingdon. My husband and I met 2 other couples at the hotel and we all throroughly enjoyed our stay there. We had dinner there on the 3 nights we stayed, and a particular mention of first class service provided by Amee, who really looked after us all and also the duty manager Maxson. Lovely hotel in the middle of Huntingdon only stayed 2 nights but almost made to feel like family by Amee and Marion didn’t matter who you were or how busy they were felt like you had their attention 100% of the time. Cannot recommend highly enough food also fantastic and reasonably priced

Popped in for breakfast on Sunday morning (20thJuly). I had the full traditional English. Tea (two pots) and a large glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. The food was superb and a big thanks to Nunzia who looked after us very attentively. Will certainly be revisiting when next in town.

Just called on spec for lunch while passing through. Sat in the sunshine in the beer garden. All the staff are lovely including Nunu-Eng. The halloumi was missed off my husband’s salad but was quickly cooled for him & brought to our table with apologies. The food is very tasty, served piping hot. Would deffo recommend

I attended an event last Saturday evening at the hotel. It was fantastically organised, the food was lovely, the entertainment was brilliant. All staff were friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend!!

Well, Three nights B&B stay in the Greene King George Hotel in Huntingdon as stopover seeing family in Essex. What a find! In all our fifteen years of travelling and staying in hotels together, this is, by far, the friendliest hotel we have ever stayed in. Of course, as a very old hotel, there are some cosmetic problems, but these are small things in the bigger picture. The quality of the breakfast was superb, well served and presented, and the evening meals we had there were very good value. The main thing that impressed us was the friendliness and helpfulness of all staff members, who all obviously got on well together, and were all prepared to 'muck in' in any duties that needed doing. A credit to all the staff. All in all, a very pleasant stay, and if we have a reason to stay in the area again, this would be our first choice of hotel.

Listed building, with fantastic town centre location with free parking. On the downside, it cannot be stated firm enough, that this is a gorgeous building in absolute dire need of a couple of million quid throwing at it. The room was comfortable, dating to the late 60's or early 70's. The star of this hotel is 'Marion', assuming she was the duty manager on our visit. Very professional, and hard working, the oil that keeps the gears working. Green King Directors and its shareholders should hang their heads in shame for allowing this building to deteriorate to such and advance level. Lottery money or council grant may help, but would need a closure for 3 months and a few million.
