Warm, charming, with an attentive innkeeper in a great location! And the breakfasts - fresh every day, different every day, home-cooked every day and always tasty!! Each bedroom is different - including the furniture but all equipped with expected 'mod cons', toiletries and lovely towels. Wi-fi works everywhere. The Reception and Dining Rooms are lovely spaces; easy places to relax and socialise. Thanks so much to Nancy and the team for a wonderful few days while in town for a family wedding!

We came here wanting to experience a bed and breakfast for the first time, and what an experience we had! Nancy was so welcoming, the Mansion is beautiful and immaculatly clean, the food was DELICIOUS (highly recommend adding the picnic lunch to your stay) and we just happened to have the whole place to ourselves for a few days! Huntingdon and the surrounding area had all the charm and adventure we had hoped for! We will certainly return to the area for years to come and recommend Gage Mansion to anyone who will listen.

It is a very interesting Victorian mansion. Our room had the top level "turret"; it was a very beautiful room with a nice view of the area. The hospitality was wonderful.

This is not an owner occupied B&B which may be why the mattress was old and lumpy, the toilet tank occasionally did not completely fill, the breakfast was a skimpy, sorrowful excuse for a so called quality B&B. Yes, the hired housekeeper was pleasant but not much of a cook. No fresh fruit or jams offered, no toast or muffins, just a miniature excuse of a frittata for breakfast. If visiting Huntingdon I'd suggest one of the hotels.

My husband and I wanted to conquer the 1,000 steps trail, just outside Huntingdon, PA. We were looking for a place to stay and unwind that evening before heading on to Pittsburgh. The Gage Mansion had one room available (on a Thursday) and we scooped it up. Our stay was delightful. Comfortable AC and great shower in the room, The common spaces were gorgeous Victorian elegance. Breakfast with Nancy and staff were delicious. We felt pampered. We walked to a great dinner with lots of friendly faces at Boxers, then roamed the town, had a beer at Juniata Brewing Company and just a really nice night outside in a lovely small town. Many others seemed to be in town for Juniata College alumni events. I would rebook with this site in a heartbeat.

This is not an owner-occupied B&B which might be why we had an old, lumpy mattress and the toilet tank occasionally did not fill. The breakfast was a poor excuse for a decent B&B. It's June, yet no fresh fruit, no selection of jams, no bacon or sausage or potatoes with the small, amateurish frittata. On the plus side, the common rooms were clean, our bathroom large, and the hostess welcoming. But, by no means is this a 5 star establishment. Sorry we didn't book a room in one of the area hotels.

We stay at Gage Mansion every time we visit our daughter on campus at Juniata. There are a variety of accommodations to fit our needs depending on the visit. Mary is a wonderful innkeeper and makes a fabulous, hearty breakfast. The rooms are well equipped with individual AC/heat units. It's always quiet and easy to sleep. Overall, a great option in Huntingdon! Can't recommend it highly enough!
