Benbow Inn is certainly charming. But the rooms need to be upgraded. The AC was very loud and we had to run it all night to keep the room at a habitable temperature. Other than that, it was nice.

We checked into the Benbow during our Astoria, OR to San Francisco, CA road trip. We stayed just one night, as we wanted to be close to the avenue of giants, so we could see the trees with various lighting. The hotel is in remarkable shape - especially considering it’s nearly 100 years old. Our room was clean and most importantly, cool. The grounds were so tranquil, sitting on the patio off our room was a nice way to unwind. If you’re going to see the magnificent avenue of giants, this is the place to stay!!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay at the venue. Our experience was very pleasant and gave us 5 roll away beds for my family, one of my kids wan on the patio and loved being close to the mosquitos. Tom hand delivered a salami to our room which my girlfriend enjoyed very much.salami. All of this would not have happened without the amazing experience of our front desk manager Tom. Let me tell you about Tom. Tom has an amazing customer service and will go above and beyond for you and your family and friends. Tom enjoys long walks on the beach and along the river. Thank again Tom.

The Benbow Inn is very unique. Firstly, it's one of the few places we found in the area that offered a more elevated experience than a motel. It's right off the 101 and 20 minutes from Humboldt State Park. The rooms were shabby and a little old, but clean. There was no TV (which was fine by us but worth noting). However, the bed was comfortable. The staff were incredibly polite, friendly, and professional. The main building had a unique look and feel, kind of old English Manor-esque. Food at the restaurant was expensive but overall of a high standard with a good mix of options--and again, the waitstaff were of the caliber of a 5-star place. The place has a ton of character and it was fun to spend a couple of nights there.

Rustic property that was quiet and relaxing. The back lawn was beautiful and we appreciated that there was corn hole to play. They serve tea and scone before the dinner hour and the restaurant had great food. All employees were friendly and helpful.

I little disappointed. We had dinner at the property, looks like everybody is busy because of the wedding. Ordered dinner and my sister found a piece of plastic on her vegetable. Up the hotel room, not even a soap to wash our hands. What do they expect wash our hands with body wash in the bathroom? Not even a small toiletries for their guest? And when we check out and asked the lady on the front desk,about why they don’t have at least a bar of soap to wash our hands with.She said they were out of stock. Just disappointed.

We loved everything about the bimbo historic Inn. The ambience is amazing. The only thing we truly hated, and it might prevent us from coming back is the discomfort of the bed. We had a queen size, and it appeared to be a spring mattress versus the newer foam style, we found it to be extremely uncomfortable
