We had a truly wonderful and relaxing stay. From the welcoming chocolates at the door to the always accessible hot drinks and fresh fruit, every detail made us feel valued as guests. The homemade, freshly prepared breakfasts were a delight. As a celiac, I need gluten free food, this was respected and remembered when my food was prepared. It’s the thoughtful touches that made all the difference. We had access to a large fridge downstairs, but a mini fridge in the room would have been appreciated. While the breathtaking surroundings could be enjoyed from anywhere in the area, it’s the old-world charm and warm hospitality that make Turtle Rocks truly special.

Turtle rocks was an amazing place to stay if you want to experience the pacific northwest and redwood forest. You are greeted by the sounds of sea lions and we even saw an eagle flying around and a baby deer was grazing in the field below our beautiful balcony. It was amazing. The backyard area is filled with gorgeous flowers and hummingbirds that was magical to walk through. So quiet and peaceful. Not to mention the delicious baked goods that are provided daily. I would stay here everytime i come to the california coast.

What a fantastic location and stay! Our room looked right out onto the sea lions loafing on the rocks, we had spectacular sunsets, and we were right down the road from a terrific state park and 20 minutes from the Redwood parks. Roger’s itineraries and restaurant suggestions were very helpful and actually persuaded us to stay an extra night- we were really glad we did. The room had both a fireplace-style heater and a fan, both of which we actually needed. Spacious and comfortable room and bathroom, though the decor could be updated. Breakfast was great too.

This truly is a magical place! We drove from Lake Tahoe & arrived in time to see a mesmerizing sunset over the Turtle Rocks, with hummingbirds flitting through the garden, we were absolutely charmed! The quiet comfort, the sunsets & the Milky Way from our private deck, listening to the sea lions & the surf, we stayed 3 nights, but didn’t want to leave! The Redwoods were magnificent & we also took a day trip to Glass Beach, just delightful, every minute!

Perched above the Pacific, each room has a private balcony overlooking the ocean. You will be serenaded by the sea lions here, and enjoy spacious, comfortable accommodations, and hospitable innkeepers who provide hearty breakfasts and home-baked treats throughout the day. Guests are invited to make use of a communal refrigerator which the hosts have thoughtfully stocked with beverages. Coffee and tea and pastries are available throughout the day. Trinidad is a great little town with surprisingly good dining for so remote a place, and is a perfect location for exploring the Redwoods, Fern Canyon, and the like--that is, if you can tear yourself away from your balcony or any of the other lovely spots on the property on which to idle away the hours soaking ups the sea air and the fragrant flowers that abound.

This is a stunning little B&B with great rooms (or, more like suites), a million $ view on rocks with sea lions, sunset, etc., and a super-nice and caring inkeeper. I was there now the second time, and both times I was very pleased with everything, and so was my family. Roger makes a great breakfast which we enjoyed very much. I hope we will be able to come again anytime soon.
