We took our kids out and arrived late, so we needed to spend a night in Male. We had airport pick-up and drop-off, which was well arranged. The car was large and clean. We were a family, and the hotel would coordinate with the next hotel to pick us up. We didn't need to worry about it at all. There was a Chinese-speaking lady at the front desk, and we paid a tax of $3 per person when we arrived. The room was a small domestic chain hotel, which was enough for a night's stay. We took a shower and went to bed! Opposite was a Pakistani restaurant, which seemed to be very popular, and the beef rice was delicious.

When booking, it said free pick-up, and I called the hotel 3 days in advance to make an appointment, and the hotel agreed. After arriving at Male Airport, we found the person who picked us up at the hotel and asked us to wait for more than an hour. They picked up the other seven Shanghai residents and kept the three of us at the airport. . I asked several times and was told to wait. Later, when we waited too long, we took a taxi to the hotel, which cost us 10 dollars. Later, we went to the hotel to argue with the boss. They said that the money we paid for the Ctrip order was to share a taxi with others. For pick-up, if there is no one to fight for it, you will have to wait. What a nonsense. Although Ctrip later gave us our taxi fare, the experience was very poor. It is recommended that you do not book this hotel. The decoration is that of a farmhouse priced at RMB 300 in China. The hygiene is acceptable. The room does not have a balcony. This is the first time in so many years that a Ctrip user has given a negative review to a hotel.

The room is very small, but it's pretty neat. There's no way to compare it with the ones in China.

Hulu Male Island is about 10 minutes away from the airport and 20 minutes' drive from Male' city center. It's very convenient to eat around. I booked a room and reported a pick-up.
