Hotel UI Inn

My wife and I decided to end our holiday in the Maldives in Hulhumale to make time for our flight back home. We booked the Ui Inn hotel, they picked us up at the airport and took us to the hotel. We were taken to a hotel, a bit strange compared to what we usually book, but we checked in and went to the room. This is where things started to go wrong, as it was too dark and too small for what we thought we had booked. At lunch I decided to actually look for vouchers and on the platform where we had booked and we really noticed that the hotel we were staying at had nothing to do with the hotel we had booked. We went to the reception, where the first thing the staff did was tell us that that was where we had booked because the other hotel no longer exists, now they are apartments and the downstairs is a restaurant. In other words, we made a reservation for a hotel, but the hotel itself changed the reservation to a super inferior hotel without telling the customers (yes, I am talking about customers, because I saw a group of Italians talking about the same thing as well as a Chinese couple, which shows that they are not we were the only ones in the same situation) We spoke to the support of our platform where we made the reservation, and we started to want justifications, we demanded a document proving that we were in the wrong hotel, which to this day I have not obtained. As we were pressuring the hotel to resolve the situation, an employee (who seemed to have a higher position than the others) told us that the hotel actually belonged to the "UI" chain and that the reservations would now be for the "Turquoise Ui" hotel, which proved that we were in trouble, but she continued to say that everything was fine and that there was no problem with the reservation. We sent an email to the General Manager again asking for the document to prove it, but once again, she didn't respond. We wanted to make a complaint and they didn't want to accept it, so what I did was write it by hand on a piece of paper, which they refused to sign, so I took photos of the paper next to the hotel's certification certificate, which is at the reception. We actually had to go to another hotel to sleep, because that service is simply horrible. Our complaint was also sent through our booking platform, to which we received a response 2 days later, full of absurd lies, saying that they had offered us a superior room with a partial sea view (no other type of room was ever offered, and the sea view is difficult in that building, and besides, not even the windows open). They also said that they had offered us more meals, at no time was such an offer made And we are still waiting for a response from the General Manager. Very good hotel to spend a short night before taking the plane. The manager even organizes the transfer to the airport for free! The bathroom is ok and the bed is comfortable. The location near the seaside promenade and near shops or restaurants is ideal.
