Facilities: Extremely run-down. Perhaps it was decent when it first opened, but the seaside environment is inherently corrosive. Among other issues, the wooden paneling under the sink was completely waterlogged and cracked. In the first room, there was a gap between the balcony (whether it was a door or glass, I'm not sure) and the wall that couldn't be closed at all, letting the wind whistle right in. We switched rooms, but there was still a whistling wind sound. I initially thought it was just poor sealing, but upon inspection, there was indeed another gap, though smaller than the first room. The wind noise was constant. I was too tired to complain further, so we just made do. After switching rooms, the TV was still broken – what are the odds? We told a staff member, and they replaced the TV. But while we were sleeping, the TV suddenly blared out a message like 'no internet connection,' and the volume was incredibly loud – it scared the living daylights out of us! On check-out day, one of the three elevators was broken, and it happened to be the largest one. With only two elevators serving over thirty floors, we had to wait a solid half hour to get down to the ground floor.
Cleanliness: Terrible. I've stayed in countless hotels and B&Bs, and this is by far the worst. In the first room, there was a huge footprint on the bed runner – how could no one have seen that? It was just left on the bed. The sheets on the second bunk of the children's bed hadn't been changed; when I touched them, they felt sandy.
Environment: It's near the sea, but that's about the only positive. At 11:50 PM, 12:52 AM, and 1:50 AM, people were still setting off fireworks right on the hotel beach, with no one doing anything about it. The hotel claims that food deliveries aren't allowed to room doors and must be picked up from the lobby. So then, why was a delivery driver knocking on my room door past 2 AM?
Service: Basically no service. They only collected trash and changed the trash bag daily. When the tissues in the room's tissue box ran out, no one refilled them. During check-in, even though there weren't many guests, the front desk staff seemed rushed when I asked questions. In short, if you have other options, I strongly recommend avoiding this place.
