We have stayed at Wm Farmer and Sons 3 times— in June 2024, March 2025, and August 2025. Twice in the Mercer suite, and once in the Schooner suite. Obviously we loved it, since we’ve returned over and over again. The suites are attractive, comfortable, and upmarket rather than mass-market. The staff is incredibly courteous and kind and supportive, which makes you feel welcome at once. We’ve also eaten at the farm-to-table restaurant 3 times and it’s amazing. The property is also located literally 1 minute walk from the Hudson river, rendering beautiful morning or evening walks very easy. It’s also very close to the main street of Hudson, with shopping, galleries and other restaurants to walk to (caution about Hudson, many places are not open mid week). It’s also not far from other hiking and amazing area attractions such as Olana, Frederick Church’s estate. Our daughter will be attending Vassar college for the next 4 years so we are definitely going back again in future!

excellent location..........very friendly and helpful employees........ our Wendel Lee room was a climb , but comfy once we settled in...........too bad they cancelled the live music on Thursday, we were looking forward to it.............gorgeous sunset just a stones' throw from the hotel, in the park at the end of Warren, overlooking the Hudson !!

This was a last minute Birthday overnight. We couldn't have been more pleased and surprised. From the welcoming staff to our room, common rooms and restaurant it was all excellent. Well decorated with an eclectic mix of old and new edgy furnishings and details. A welcoming bottle of bubbly with a note for my birthday.....totally unexpected and so thoughtful. Well appointed bathroom with great materials. Highly recommend this very cool Boarding & Barroom!

Early July stay. Convenient walk to other places and easy on street parking. Charming. Great common rooms in this townhouse style place. Nice attached pub.

Wonderful experience at this boutique hotel and it's restaurant. Great location, fantastic guest service, and an excellent restaurant and bar! The rooms are spotless and unique, the overall experience was above and beyond.

My wife and I had the pleasure to stay in the Half Pint Room and dine at the restaurant. Both were outstanding. Check-in for the room was easy. They were very helpful and offered insight on the area with suggestions. We had a couple of questions and requests during our stay and they were all successfully and quickly handled. I also liked the emails I received prior to checking in. Very attentive service. We would definitely return to stay and dine.

Excellent stay. The staff is so helpful. The accommodations were perfectly appointed and very comfortable. Everything was so thought-out in terms of furnishings and decor. Ate dinner at the restaurant and it was outstanding. I look forward to another stay, and would definitely recommend it. It’s a special place!
