Hampton Inn Dayton/Huber Heights

While traveling we try to stay at Hampton Inns. This deserves 5 Stars: large room, plenty of bathroom counter space, brand-name tissues, and (best of all) a comfort-height toilet.This is a first for us . . . being older, we appreciated this very much.

Horrible overpriced stay with broken amenities, indifferent staff and none of the quality that Hilton usually stands for. Upon checking into room 228 we found the refrigerator broken so we got switched by the front desk into room 226. Room 226 has a broken door lock and could not be secured properly and in addition was filthy with debris hidden under the beds and a T-shirt along with a comb stuffed behind the television stand. The furniture door covering the refrigerator was broken off as well like someone had kicked it and then it was never fixed properly. I never once saw a housemen or maintenance around or fixing anything. In addition the guest use laundry machine on the second floor was broken and when I complained to the desk that it had taken $3 in quarters from me I was not offered a refund. Horrible stay and not worthy of the Hampton or Hilton name! When I told the front desk of our issues they only told me that our room had not been inspected, no solution was offered.

Not the cleanest room The bed sheet had yellow stains and the handicap handle in the shower had mildew around it. Also the shower stall had hair on the wall before we used it.

Clean, up to date, great price

Everything was great except the bathroom could have been cleaner (shower in particular) and the pool was too cold. And the room key didn’t work a few times during our stay. Breakfast was fantastic. Staff were friendly
