We were not too sure what to expect from our first China trip so it was with much relief to receive such warm welcome and care when we reach our accomodation in Tunxi. Not only is our hotel a beautifully well-kept centuries-old heritage building, the service rendered by the staff was the highlight of our trip. They made special arrangements for us to have our breakfast (and it was a awesome breakfast too!) earlier as we were trying to reach Huangshan as early as possible. On our way back, we decided to stay one more night here as my friend was unwell. It felt like we were coming home, when we reached the hotel the second time. The staff even helped us to find a drugstore for us to buy some medicine to treat the stomach upset. My friend was really grateful for help rendered. Campanile Hotel is under Jinjiang, so I didn't hesitate when placing the order. As expected, the check-in experience surprised me. The hotel is in a great location, close to the must-see attractions in She County. The staff is very enthusiastic and gave us a lot of route suggestions, saving us a lot of time and going to niche attractions. There is a terrace on the top floor of the hotel, overlooking the mountains and rivers, you can see four bridges, and you can also feel the beautiful scenery of ”six waters returning, five peaks arching”. It's a good deal!

The most unexpected surprise of this trip to Huangshan was to live in Guanzhiyuan. Originally, I was a casual accommodation, but I didn't expect that from check-in to departure, the whole process was taken care of properly. The room was more comfortable than expected, the mattress was just soft and hard, and the whole person was relaxed when I lay on it. After playing, I had back pain. As a long-term insomnia patient, I slept here until I woke up naturally and I was exhausted. The afternoon tea snacks are very exquisite. Although this time I tried Chinese afternoon tea, I still felt full of sincerity. (The wine is super delicious) The breakfast is rich in variety, each one is delicious, and a bowl of topping noodles is under the stomach. It feels particularly comfortable. I can feel that the store has spent a lot of thought on food. The environment of the homestay is very clean, the decoration style is antique and not a sense of design, the yard is surrounded by green plants, the scenery is pleasant, and the air is fresh. It is especially pleasant to sit there and have a cup of tea. What touched me most was the store's service. The person in charge and the staff were very kind. They chatted like friends. When they came back late, they would care about whether I was safe. The next day I took the high-speed rail and personally sent me to the station. Really a caring person in charge. I think travel is a way to cure myself, so I will prefer to choose a homestay than a cold hotel, and this time the choice allows me to have a ”home” in Huangshan for a short time. If I come back next time, I will definitely choose Guanzhiyuan! I really recommend it to all friends who come to Huangshan to play. (I heard from the person in charge that March and April will be very beautiful here. I have already started to look forward to the next trip to Huangshan. Hehe)
