Huangshan Huangshan District 5-star Hotels

A much better hotel comparing to BaiYun hotel in terms of the condition of the facilities and rooms. It is just newer, better and serve better FOOD . But since Baiyun is located in the Front Mountain , and Xihai on the back mountain , one would still have to stay at BaiYun if they are planning to climb front mountain , and one have to stay at XiHai if planning to climb Back Mountain. Remember Huangshan is divided into 3 areas , Front , Back and DaXiaGu with 73 peaks in total ! If you dont mind the cost , XIhai hotel is the best hotel if you are climbing the Back Mountains. Note : Huangshan is just too big , you need to see the map and plan properly before attempting ! The photos i posted is the view from the hotel ! The hotel is elegant in style, with coffee machines, massagers, humidifiers, tea bars, beverage counters, delicious pastries and fruits, good floor heating, good insulation and soundproofing, and customized large down jackets. Meals are available in set menus or a la carte, and can be delivered to the room while watching TV series. At night, my legs were sore, so I took a comfortable hot bath in the room, and then used a massager to massage my legs, which made me feel a lot more relaxed. The housekeeper service was meticulous, and made very detailed recommendations and introductions from the recommended routes up and down the mountain, weather conditions, things to bring, to delicious restaurants. The location of the hotel is also great, halfway up the mountain. I went out at 6:20 in the morning and walked for about 20 minutes, and just saw the sunrise 🌅. After breakfast, I checked out and got two small boxes of tea souvenirs. It was a very satisfying accommodation experience, recommended~

Our stay at the J. Mountain hotel was beyond our wildest dreams. I rarely leave reviews but our 3 nights here were so stunningly exceptional that we felt driven to express our gratitude and appreciation for the stellar staff, service, and beautiful setting of this hidden gem of a hotel. The service was without exception some of the best if not the best I have ever experienced at a hotel, and I travel often, having visited over 20 countries in the last few years alone and stayed at many beautiful and well-known five-star hotels and brands. Despite being a very young hotel (having just opened in September) J. Mountain Hotel holds its own and then some. It began months before our stay when we reached out to the hotel on WeChat to ask for guidance on equipment, tickets, and transportation. As we are visiting from America the area isn’t necessarily the easiest to access or plan for. Responses were almost immediate no matter when we reached out and always went above and beyond. For instance, my mother is nearly 70 and although very active was worried about slipping and falling while hiking in icier conditions; they offered to even purchase crampons for us should we wish although they advised us we would not need them for the time of year we were here (they were right). While here their thoughtfulness included texting us updates on and warning us about inclement weather while we were hiking around Huang Shan (there is cell service), drying and fluffing our wet gear when we returned from a particularly wet hike, and most astounding of all resolving an incredibly stressful issue we had with an upcoming flight that had been canceled (they suggested and secured alternative means of transport to a second city and then arranged for a different flight with the airline directly). We must specifically give our thanks to Hotel Manager Ryan, who is young but clearly extremely talented and excels in his role. He not only oversaw and proactively sought to help us on every front but was responsible for resolving our flight emergency. He also clearly had directed staff to help us to their utmost ability at all times, including having breakfast and dinner ready for and served to us at the times we requested. Ryan also personally met us and gave us a tour of the hotel and its history and design, as well as accompanied us to the art gallery and an evening tea tasting held in the gorgeous tea house on the grounds. He checked in with us every day and night and made sure everything was to our liking. Driver Wang Kai was our personal chauffer throughout the stay and was extremely courteous, professional, and attentive; he was always there to pick us up and see us off at multiple locations throughout our trip and not once were we ever allowed to wait. He even brought us hotel slippers and large down jackets to change into out of our soaking wet gear when picking us up at the end of a hike. When we said we did not think we would need some of the gear they offer their guests, we noticed he packed it in the car just in case we changed our minds and needed them later. I could literally go on and on but wanted to make sure I left room to appreciate how beautiful the hotel itself is and how much attention to detail has gone into its design and planning; at almost every turn we discovered something that added to the ease, enjoyment, and comfort of our stay. J. Mountain Hotel, thank you for one of the best experiences we have had in many, many years.

The hotel is 5 minutes away on foot from the bus station that takes you up the mountain, so for those who want to hike, it's very convenient. They offer different services in the hotel: a hot spring (you get one free access during your stay), massages, a restaurant for dinner (which is pretty nice), another one for breakfast (which is quite complete and offers a nice view of the mountains), and a small shop. I don't speak a lick of Mandarin and most of the staff don't speak any English, but they took all the time needed to explain things I was wondering about and even helped me buy my ticket for the mountain. One woman does speak a bit of English, she was really nice and helpful, and even connected with me on Alipay so I could message her if I had any questions during my stay. I was lucky to be upgraded, the room was very big and comfortable. Good value for the price. Overall, I liked my stay in this establishment.

We had a perfect stay! Everything was perfect and well arranged. The service is amazing here. They will help you to get to the mountains (yellow mountains) by giving the right information and transfer to the foot of the mountains in the morning. We could even leave out luggage for 1 night to sleep at the top of the mountains. Besides the practical information, the service and breakfast/dinner is amazing! The food is so good and home made, you can really taste it. The owner of the honestay is very nice, she gave us a very lovely upgrade to a beautiful room, we loved it! Thanks for all!! And if we are able to, we would definitely return to the homestay.

The hotel is very clean and beautiful. It is located next to the ropeway and has easy access to one part of the mountains. The food however is not so great. Specially, lunch and dinner are mediocre at its best. There is not many choices of food in nearby area either. Also, there is no room service. The staff at the front desk is very polite and very helpful. If you have a multiple day stay and you want to go other places for sight seeing then it will be best to change your hotel to nearby places you want to go. Traveling to and from the hotel is a hassle. Taxis are not allowed from the town to the hotel and public busses has some procedures that may be difficult to follow if you don't speak Chinese.

Such a lovely trip! Highly recommend this hotel for visiting Huangshan, they provide all the kits you need for a hike including rain coat and hiking stick. We also had a nice upgrade for the room which was offered for free. We came from the UK and glad that we stayed here, the staff are all super nice and hospitable! Our room manager Huihui was exceptional, every morning auntie Wang and other aunties in the canteen greets us and prepares breakfast, they all are super nice and friendly :)) would come back again if we were visiting the area!! 特别感谢管家慧慧和王阿姨 还有所有酒店人员带给我们难忘的黄山之旅！

a beautiful mountain getaway that feels both homely and luxurious. friendly and helpful staff, rooms are beautiful with fantastic and luxurious amenities making for a very relaxing stay. surrounded by beautiful mountains, falling asleep to the sounds of nature and waking up to a delicious breakfast. i highly recommend this resort for a relaxing getaway in the huangshan mountains.

Where do I begin? Me and my family is completely blown away by this gem of a hotell. The service, the food, the rooms, the views....everything is top notch! We stayed in a family suite, 3 adults, with our own little infinity pool at the balcony, with views of the stunning valley and river. The beds are comfortable, and the room had the latest technology that made everything even more comfortable! The butler service they provided via wechat was excellent. The hotsprings was also excellent. As I said, I'm blown away. All the good words I know in English, I want to write here. The road to the hotell was beautiful, with stunning views of Huangshan. I would even boldly say, that it's foolish NOT to visit this hotel. They have so much to offer! I could kick myself for not staying longer! It couldn't have been a more perfect spot to bring my family to for the first time to see gems of China. A big thank you to the wonderfull staff, and the owner of the hotell. Thank you!

The first time I visited Huangshan, I boldly chose this hotel. I was so satisfied. Watching the sunset in the room and the majestic peaks of Huangshan was really a pleasure... The butler service was also very considerate. There was a special car to pick me up from the scenic area at the foot of the mountain. The dinner was exquisite and unique. There were rich activities in the evening. The down jacket I wore to watch the sunset in the morning was a Boston down jacket. The price actually includes the cable car fees for the upper and lower scenic areas, the scenic area entrance tickets, and the shuttle bus fees. If you bring your parents to play, you can really do it with your eyes closed. There is nothing wrong with it except that it is expensive.
