Popular Huangshan 4-star Hotels

We had a great stay at this hotel. We don't speak Chinese well but the check-in process was very smooth and all the staff were very friendly. The room was very cosy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location of the hotel was also great for doing small walks to see the sunrise and sunset. Special thanks to 小叶 for making our trip extra pleasant by taking us to our rooms, showing us how to use all the amenities and even sharing some locals snacks with us. This little attention was very much appreciated and made our stay perfect!

Located at a very convenient location for our climb to 天都山. The coordinator Xu was really nice, helpful and informative. Introduced us to a good sunrise spot and even offered to help us move our luggage if we were checking out late(though we didn't need it in the end)! Service staff is professional and friendly but with limitations as compared to the other hotel we stayed up in the mountains. Just a little hopeful for more food options in the area so that we are not forced to eat buffet with our small stomach.

Hotel was great - particularly as it's on top of a mountain - and that in itself is special! Costs for everything are expensive but fair considering the location. The room is fairly small (but very functional), you won't need space as you won't have luggage. Room comes with warm jackets and a torch so you don't need to bring those things for a sunset/sunrise. We were in what seemed like a newer block so the interior was modern. Shower was hot and decent. Breakfast and dinner (180 yuan per person) had impressive variety considering everything gets up the mountain on a cable car and then manually carried to the hotel. Location is good as it's next to the Taiping cableway but we walked from the popular Yuping cableway carrying small overnight packs. It is very possible in one day! We descended the next day via the Yungu cableway which was a much easier walk. Note the closest lookout for both is a 20min uphill walk with the path starting from the hotel (and another path for those who aren't staying there.) We saw a spectacular sunset and not much of a sunrise. Both were well worth it but of course you're at the mercy of the weather. Receptionists could speak basic English and will also give you bottles of water and communicate weather and sunset conditions to you via WeChat. If you can't understand Mandarin you can use the translate function in WeChat. Free laundry service too but we didn't use it.

The landlord was very welcoming and helped to carry the luggage to the third floor. The meal was on the first floor. The hostess cooked delicious food and provided breakfast. The room was made of solid wood, environmentally friendly, clean and hygienic, and the toiletries provided were also very good. It provides pick-up and drop-off service to Huangshan, and the environment is very good. It is much more comfortable to soak in the hot springs after coming down from Huangshan at night. There are other places to play around, and there is a camp opposite where children can play. We didn't play more because the children were not feeling well. We will come again next time if we have the chance.

If you are planning to visit Yellow Mountains (Huangshan) Shanshui Boutique hotel is conveniently located as it is just 25 min drive (by taxi) from high speed train station, also easy travel to the Yungpu cable car (about 45-60min) to access the Mountains, and less than 40 min to get to Xidi ancient vilage. The architecture is a must, you can appreciate the old facade mingled with the new avant garde design that faces the river and the swimming pool. It also has plenty spaces designed to relax while drinking some tea, coffee, etc as well as a playground -we always thank when traveling with small kids-. It also has a spacious library room where you can relax reading a book, playing cards or just having a cup of coffee. The swimming pool is also key attraction specially if you are lucky with weather. Breakfast is buffet with a very good mixture of Chinese and western options available. The hotel is situated conveniently near the promenade adjacent the river, cobbled stoned shopping street and Tunxi old street. But the best of all for us was Jerry, he personally guided us to visit some village nearby and also help with the Mountain tour suggestions. The staff also help us with some suggestions to eat local food nearby. So we definitely recommend staying in this beautifully designed hotel with friendly staff and service in English and Chinese.

Everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations. From the quality of the hotel’s breakfast and location to the responsiveness of our assigned caretaker: 小河(XiaoHe). Upon arrival I added 小河’s WeChat and was shown - on a map - what I could expect to see given the length of our stay. I was even given information about the likelihood of a clear sunset/sunrise - and when my girlfriend needed it 小河 called the mountain clinic to purchase Pain killers! My favorite part of the hotel will have to be its location. It’s a 30 minute walk from YunGu cablecar, a 10 minute walk from a good sunset/sunrise spot!

Overall very satisfied with the stay at the hotel. Hotel is new. Well maintained. BF is good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Although it is near the Huangshanbei station, it is not easy for elderly travellers with luggage to walk to the hotel. Especially for late arrival or early departure. Hotel could have arrival/departure services at a nominal charge.

We were really pleased with our stay in the Atour hotel. The service is really good. The staff helped us with all the requests that we had. They provided the transport to the COVID test place and the Huangshan mountain hiking spot left us totally stress free. They also arranged the transportation from the Huangshan North Railway station to the hotel. The staff member 廖静 Liao Jing provided us all the necessary information in English and she was really kind all the time. She also gave us the advice which places are worth to visit and how much time we should spend there. She also changed our room when we asked for a more quite one that does not face the street. The hotel also provide the free laundry which is a life saver after a long hike. The design of the hotel is modern and all the spaces are super clean. We had an amazing experience in this hotel and if we could we would definitely come back.

Traveling with my children and parents, I want to take care of the elderly and the children. The Emerald Resort solved my problem very well. The room I booked has three 1.1-meter beds, one for each parent, and I and my five-year-old 108-foot-tall child can also sleep in one. The parking area is large, and parking is free. The booked room also provides breakfast according to the number of adults. My child is relatively young, and there is no additional meal fee, which is very generous! The restaurant accepts ordering service, which is very suitable for resting to Huangshan!

This is the fifth time I have stayed at Tiandu International Hotel. Every time I come to Huangshan for business or travel, this hotel is my first choice. Both the service and the room are very good, and the service staff are enthusiastic. I would like to praise Miss Xiaoxi at the front desk. She provides professional service and is very enthusiastic. She also gave me a piece of fruit when I checked in. The bedding in the room is comfortable and soft, and the breakfast is also rich. The lobby is refreshing and atmospheric, with many rest areas and sofas. This time when I came to Tunxi, I also went to the old street in the city to play. Huangshan is worthy of being a tourist city, surrounded by mountains and rivers, with beautiful mountains, beautiful waters, and even more beautiful people!
