The Grand Resort is a great resort. Great staff service, beautiful pools, great variety of restaurants and amenities. Rooms were clean, staff helpful, resort and pool clean and fun. Great music by pool. Would have liked evening entertainment or live music. Cy, at the wine bar was friendly and knowledgeable, a real gem of a bartender! Justin, at the Gatsby bar, had great drink recommendations, made a very unique drink. Both bartenders were awesome!

Ohio’s premier Smokers destination! If you smoke cigarettes, cigars or vape, this is the place for you. If you don’t, forget about enjoying some of the amenities they have to offer. The outside dining and pools are dominated by smokers and any families trying to enjoy the pools are relegated to the indoor pool if they don’t want their kids sucking on toxic air or exposed to the rivers of alcohol, tattoos and body piercings. Meals were ok, if you like powdered eggs on your Buffett, but pricey. We had to go to Longhorn Steakhouse just to balance out our budget some. Kind of reminded us of a Carnival cruise where the amenities are nice but dominated by smokers and drinkers.

An outstanding place and experience. The aesthetics were impressive and the customer service - in ALL areas - was excellent. With multiple restaurants and bars, there was ample opportunity to get a drink or meal very timely. The pool and Roman bath were clean and large enough to accommodate all of the visitors. Ample seating in several areas of the resort ensured that you always had a place to relax and/or sunbathe. The recreation building provided activities during a brief rain, the gym had impressive equipment, the couples massage was extremely enjoyable (and included extras that our routine, local massage therapist does not include), and the cigar bar had a great ambiance. Overall, just an incredible time. We will definitely be going back soon.

The AC was broke in our room. It rumbled, rattled, shook, and screeched the entire night keeping us awake and angry. I called the front desk to no avail, as the maintenance guy left for the night. My mom is 77 and changing rooms at 1am seemed too exhausting for her at 1am as she felt weak and beyond tired. We both left there sleep deprived and angry, as that room was an astronomical amount of money and the AC made it unbearable to sleep or be comfortable. It made us sleep deprived and angry. The front desk guy in the am dismissed us, had no care or concern, and didn't even offer us perhaps a cup of coffee or fruit plate or SOMETHING for breakfast for the huge inconvenience. Customer service was poor that morning. However, I will definitely give kudos to all the staff the entire rest of our stay as they went above and beyond to be friendly, helpful, with wonderful hospitality.

We love visiting the Grand Resort! Great rooms, great food, great staff, great atmosphere. We normally stay a couple times every summer. We recommend to eat on the Pool Patio. However, if you’d like nonsmoking - you may sit on the Vista Patio (outside as well). I recommend the Hepburn Salad & Smoked Chicken Nachos. My husband & friends recommend the BBQ Platter & Signature Wagu Smash Burger. The views at all locations are amazing!! Staff is wonderful as well. We were pleased last week to see our regular server was serving on the Pool Patio. We HIGHLY recommend the server Kaiya. She is so sweet, kind, and makes all of us laugh. Everytime we come in, we specifically ask for her. She’ll give you a great experience!! We HIGHLY recommend this resort and HIGHLY recommend you request to sit with Kaiya out on the Pool Patio!!

What a great place to go and unwind. My husband and I went for an overnight and wish we could have stayed longer. The pool area is terrific, and the staff was very attentive. We will be back

Overall lovely stay and a nice getaway. What stands out about this property is the staff. It’s unusual to feel that a hotel or really any place of hospitality is well-staffed nowadays. The Grand Resort has ample staff members at the pool, restaurants and throughout the property. The Grand Resort is a nice change of scenery if you live within an hour or two drive. Room cleanliness was great and the pool itself is very nice as well as the Roman baths. We ate at the Atrium and the food was very good. Smoking is permitted at the pool and almost all outdoor spaces which is a bit off-putting to me. I’m sure this is something they hear often but they also probably hear the opposite and have made the call to allow it. I liked that at the pool the Roman bath is not for children so it’s sort of the adults only pool. I wish for a resort of this type there was a larger lobby with seating. There are about 4 chairs and nowhere to go relax in a public indoor space that is not a restaurant.

We live in the Cleveland area and wanted to take a 4 day family golf trip without going too far away. The Grand Resort and Avalon Golf Club was a perfect fit. The resort is well appointed with plenty of courteous staff and fantastic bartenders. The golf courses we played (two of the Avalon owned courses) were fantastic. The pool area is immaculate and large.
