Ein wunderschöner Ort, das Fjellhotell und der Campingplatz, jedem nur zu empfehlen zum Ausruhe und um ausgiebig zu Wandern. Die Einrichtungen werden sehr gut gepflegt. Seit Neustem gibt es eine verglaste Außensauna, die es uns angetan hat. Leider versteht es das Serviceteam wiederholt nicht, diese zu betreiben und rechtzeitig übliche Saunatemperaturen einzustellen- eine große Enttäuschung für uns.

We verbleven 4 nachten in het historische Gammelsetra huisje. Dit was gezellig ingericht. Er werkten enkele lampen niet meer maar de eigenares kwam dit onmiddellijk vervangen. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk. De locatie is super, je ligt op 1000 meter hoogte en er vertrekken zeer veel wandelingen van hieruit. Het weer is zeer wisselvallig en kan erg koud zijn dus wees voorbereid. In de huisjes kan je je verwarmen met hout, dit kan aangevuld worden via de receptie van het hotel. Onze badkamer was groot maar vaak erg kil, er was geen verwarmingselement. We hadden ook een terras maar dit was om het huisje heen dus niet zo praktisch. Wij hadden in Rondane vaak veel wind waardoor we niet zo vaak buitenzaten. De bedden waren erg goed, de slaapkamer groot en gezellig! We kookten 3/4 avonden, alles was aanwezig in het huisje. De laatste avond gingen we eten in het hotel (3 gangen diner voor rond de 50€ pp).

My husband and I had been traveling in a camper van for three weeks and luckily found this fabulous site. We were thrilled with the possibility of camping here because the views were out of this world, but my husband had been dealing with Bronchitis and really needed a rest. When we asked the owner Tore if he had any rooms available he showed us this wonderful suite with three bedrooms, full kitchen and living room and two baths overlooking the striking views of the valley. Plus, it had a sauna!! Just perfect for rehabbing. We were in love and stayed three nights. I had been cooking in our tiny camper so when we got to experience the hotels restaurant for dinner, we were thrilled with the delicious meal and the friendly staff there. I loved the kitchen in our unit and did our cooking here as well. It is fully equipped and so open. Tore was so helpful in helping us also plan two days of hiking in the park which was perfect for us. Hiking here is like being on another planet and we were in love with it. We live in California, but would love to return someday to experience this magical place once again. Thank you Tore so much for our fantastic visit. You have created an amazing place for visitors to fully see Rondane National Park.

Attentive, friendly service! wonderful buffet breakfast and dinner. Stayed here 2 nights with a big English speaking ski tour group. Everyone patiently answered our endless questions, filled our thermos with coffee/tea etc, accommodated our needs. Fabulous common areas with fireplace. Wowzer views looking west across the valley. Would stay here again for that 'down home' feeling.
