From the pick up at the airport to check in and check out, the service at this hotel is incredible. The staff - housekeeping, waiting, cabana, front desk, concierge - are all extremely friendly and attentive. There was nothing they couldn't sort out. Every meal I ate at this hotel was great - from the high end Azure Restaurant to the breakfast - also, the Leopard bar atmosphere is great. I am not a huge fan of views but the view from the Leopard Bar at sunset is beautiful. Lovely Negroni mixed by the bar tenders and a very accommodating Hostess. Loulou, the driver took us to Restaurants in Camps Bay and was always there when he said he would be to pick us up to go back to the hotel. Imran, very kindly took me out cycling on the complimentary mountain bikes and showed me all the local routes. We will return to Cape Town, as there is so much to do, and will only stay at 12 Apostles.

Fantastic stay, great facilities and amazing staff, always willing to help . Especially Justin (JJ) at reception and concierge Imran, nothing was too much trouble to any of the staff . Was our second stay at the 12A and it didn’t disappoint, Will definitely return.

We hosted my daughter's 10th birthday party at the hotel with their movie/party package. The staff were superb - attentive, and amazing with the kids (and the parents) and she felt thoroughly spoilt. We'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

I had contacted the hotel more than a month before to request a complimentary upgrade if available. I was told at the time that if they have availability on the day they will upgrade us. On arrival I asked again. We were told that a room is available, however it will cost R6000 (approximately €300) for the night. I declined.
The room we were given was beautiful. The hotel did put out a bottle of alcohol-free bubbly, a slice of cake, some cookies and a balloon as we were celebrating an anniversary. We really appreciated this gesture. However, there was dirty crockery and cutlery in the room (clearly used and not washed). Unacceptable.
The bathroom door had an issue where the door kept getting stuck in the frame. My wife used the bathroom and the door got jammed, she was locked in for a while. I called management who sent a maintenance person, who then wanted to sand and grind the door with us there, creating noise and dust. I refused and requested management come to speak to me.
We were subsequently moved to another room. This second room, whilst having a sea view, was certainly not as nice as the first room. Things did work there.
Breakfast was an anti-climax. I ordered the salmon Benedict. It was a single poached egg on half an English muffin. Everywhere else in the world it would be 2. Croissants were not crispy and pastries were disappointing.
Overall, I expected much better from a place of this calibre. I was rather perplexed by the lack of attention to detail here.

Absolutely love this property. My third stay, two with groups from the US. The location is spectacular with amazing views. The DJ in the bar one of our nights was so fun and talented! Cocktails are very good and our wine pairing meal was wonderful great on one trip and challenging on another. We did have a few hiccups with some of the rooms with my groups, but they were addressed swiftly. The spa facility is very unique with its cave pools and the massage was good, but not great. I felt a bit of a disconnect with staff on a few interactions which was disappointing. BUT, will not hesitate to return and book for clients whenever they are booking Cape Town.

We had a sea facing room and the views were stunning on the sunny day we were most fortunate to have. Dinner and breakfast both were very disappointing. Chicken curry wasn't up to Woolworths standards, breakfast buffet was lovely, but hot breakfast order left a lot to be desired. Chef needs to get out and about and visit other places to reacquaint themselves with great food and higher standards.
