Family and I were in town for work at TSU. Very urban setting for this hotel. The most outdoor setting is the pool area but it closes according to pool schedule. Very welcoming and friendly staff as always expected with the Hyatt experience. Downtown Houston is about ten minutes away while also having a Walmart and H-E-B nearby.

The location is further south than I thought and rougher part of town. The parking garage entrance gate was broken and anyone could go into the garage. Shower head was broken and hotel in general needs some updates. Generally love Hyatt hotels and will try Hyatt Place up the street.

Room was very clean. Love the apt feel. Very spacious room. Breakfast was good. Fresh linens and towels upon request. Each floor requires a key card to get in from the garage, love the security. The front desk representatives were very nice upon check in and check out...very smooth transition. They exceeded my expectations. This visit made up for the previous visit. Good job, management and employees.

The staff refused to give us the suite we booked. They first said that the person who was in the suite left late at around 2 pm and it takes time to clean the room, so come at 4 pm (even though the check in was 3 pm). Upon coming back at 4:30, they said that the person who was there "never left", so we cannot give you the suite. Ridiculous customer service! Almost laughable. Please stay away from it.

Would not recommend! The room had a horrible urine odor and the toilet and AC kept running on and off all night. They were so loud that they woke me up out of my sleep. I’ve stayed in other Hyatt houses and this has been the only bad experience I’ve had with them. Hyatt’s response was not ideal either

The hallway was hot and musty. The carpet and elevator was dirty. The cabinets were nasty and unclean. The shower Curtain was discolored the shower wall had a film on it. The garage gate was broken anyone could just walk in. Totally outdated!
