Hotel Vesper, Houston, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Beautiful quaint hotel in the heart of downtown. The multicultural surroundings also made a great impact on our stay.

Absolutely zero complaints about this 2-night stay at Hotel Vesper. From the time we checked in with Gloria at reception, and also met Patrick, everything was wonderful. Parking was easy and the lobby is lovely, as was the hallway to our room on the 5th floor. Our King room was beautiful, clean, and spacious. Loved the steamer, extra pillow and blanket, and the nice coffee bar. The AC did not cool well the first night, but that was promptly attended to Saturday while we had breakfast. The room was much cooler when we returned. Speaking of breakfast, the service (from Rigo on Saturday) on both days was great and the food and coffee were on point! This is a place that we would absolutely return to for a night away. (We already knew there was no pool, but it was over 100 degrees outside and we relished in the AC between Astros games). Thank you!

My new fav in Houston! Agree with reviewer who said this is a very European boutique hotel feel. Have to give a shout out to Doug at the front desk. INCREDIBLY professional & welcoming. Bed & sofa very comfortable. Nicely appointed room / suite. Located conveniently in the middle of everything but still quiet … Will definitely be where I stay for suture Houston trips

Sinclair, the bartender made me a delicious lemon drop it was so good! She has a wonderful spirit! Her birthday was yesterday as well. Then my sister and I ate breakfast at the restaurant in the front of the hotel, Amelia was our waitress. She was phenomenal! I came downstairs first and told her that my sister was coming soon and that she would want an Americano coffee. As soon as my sister sat down, Amelia told her coffee was on the way! My sister LOVED that. Made us feel welcomed. I appreciate both of those ladies. Now,let’s talk hotel. Overall, the decor is very nice, it makes for great photo opps. We had two rooms. We had one king size room which had a lot of space and then we had a room with double beds which was a little smaller. The rooms are decent. The only thing I found peculiar was there was no ironing board, iron, or microwave in the room. I had to request an iron/ and board. The microwave is on the first floor, to the left of the elevators. But my main concern was the water only stayed hot for a very short period. You have to shower fast or wait 15-20 minutes for it to warm up again. Aggravating! Outside of that it’s a decent hotel.

Great hotel, seems very new and well equipped. I stayed here for a few days in a suite. Very comfortable bed and sofa, very spacious. Also I noted the hotel was very quiet - no noise from banging doors at all hours. Bar was excellent and the bar staff were great at going off menu. Room service was very efficient. Only issue was the cafe closed for a few hours each day from around 11am till later, would have been good if there was somewhere that served lunch and coffee during those hours.

Began communicating with this property via Marriott app it was positive. Upon arrival was met with a female front desk agent who had no social skills and demeanor screamed I dislike my job. Set the tone for the entire stay. Rooms are a good size, bathrooms are nicely remodeled.

This is my new favorite Marriott hotel in all of Houston. It is a small European feeling hotel. From the moment you walk in the staff greets you warmly. The rooms are perfectly appointed. There are two restaurants on property. One is a beautiful airy restaurant with a delicious breakfast and small nooks for working and the other is a dark and cozy bar that serves very reasonable and delicious food for dinner. Special shout out to Angel, Anna, Jasmine, and Sinclair. The other employees are also great. I just did not do a good job of catching their names. If you are looking for a hotel that is conveniently located in the galleria area to shopping and restaurants and is small with a boutique feel, don’t miss this one. They understand customer service! Thank you for another wonderful stay.

Freshly redone modern boutique feel in a good location. Rooms are all clean and comfortable. Check in was fast and friendly. I as told the bar closed at 10, which was disappointing. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was still open at 11, which I assume was a gracious bartender allowing the late visitors. I was glad to be able to grab a nightcap to take up to my room. The bartender was very friendly especially for the late hour and she made an excellent drink. One area I would like to give constructive feedback about are the bathrooms. Not much area on the sinks to set your things, and no where to hang a hand towel… also no ledges in the showers at all… no where to set your own washes and razor, or lower ledge to rest a foot to shave. The shower itself self was very nice however with both a handheld and mounted. Water was hot and plentiful. Bed was very nice and the charging outlets above the nightstand were convenient. Overall it was great place to stay and would recommend if in the galleria area.

The lobby of the hotel is being renovated, I hope this will address the possibility to have a meeting in a quite area in the future. The room was very nice, in the typical Indigo style - but without an big photo on the wall paper. All is clean an in perfect shape. There is is no iron the room, they provide a steamer instead. That works well for to remove the wrinkles in a shirt, but does not really allow to create a good crease. Breakfast and dinner are still served during the renovation.
