Nice location, but probably the worst hotel resort I have ever stayed in. Place was dirty, service was fair. Restaurant bar was understaffed, food was Ok.

We stayed on Friday June 6th as we needed to be in Lake City on Saturday the 7th for my Mother-in-Laws Memorial Service. The Hotel had many College Age KidsAdults that were partying which was no big deal until quiet time hit at 10 pm. They were running up and down the halls yelling and pounding on doors. We called the front desk numerous times. Initially the front desk said they would stop it. The issue continued. At 2 am after numerous calls to front desk (The Front Desk became very rude) we opened our door and asked the kids to please stop as it was now 2am. They yelled F**k You over and over! We then called the Police with a noise complaint. It all finally settled around 3 am and we had to get up at 7 am.

Beware of bed bugs!!!! This was our second stay at Lakeside Resort & Conference Center, and unfortunately, it confirmed we won’t be coming back. Our first visit on 4/12/25 ended with an ant infestation in Room 101. We reported it to the staff, didn’t ask for a refund, and chose to give the resort another chance because our kids really enjoyed the Waterpark. We stayed again on 5/17/25, this time in Room 315. At 6 a.m. the next morning, I woke up to a bed bug crawling on my leg. I immediately brought it to the front desk in a tissue. The staff apologized and said a manager would be contacted and that we would be refunded for the room. I packed up our things right away and checked out early. At checkout, however, I was suddenly told to "watch my email for a discount," despite having just been promised a full refund. Nobody at the front desk could tell me when a manager would actually be available, and as of writing this, I’ve received no follow-up and no refund. Now I’m at home panic-washing everything, terrified we may have brought bed bugs back with us. This experience was not just disappointing—it was unacceptable. I strongly urge anyone considering a stay here to think twice, especially if management can't be counted on to respond to serious issues like this.

If I could give this place a negative review I would. We booked our hotel months in advanced and was told there was no events scheduled that weekend. Upon check in we find out there the entire hotel was booked for a FRAT FORMAL. The room we were assigned to was on the same floor as the frat block and the same floor as the conference room. The entire second floor stinks like pot and when my husband called to the front desk to let them know, they said they'd "spray something to make the smell go away." To my shock, when I complained to the front desk, they told me either LEAVE and take the refund or stay and DEAL WITH IT (her actual words). I've never been treated so poorly by hotel representatives in my entire life and I was a Director of Sales in the hospitality industry for years. The front desk agent spoke with the manager and the manager declined to speak with us or move us to the last available room because it was more expensive than our current room. I was then told by the front desk agent that it "wasn't that bad" and it was MY fault for booking my room months in advance. The hotel front desk staff needs to be trained on customer service skills. They were unpleasant, unprofessional, and downright rude. As someone who worked in hotels and has many PERSONAL connections within the industry, I will be making it my life's ambition to complain about this "family friendly resort" to EVERYONE I know.
